By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I am an unemployed laborer in Mainland China. I am 35 years old. In November 2004, I was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia by three hospitals. My whole family was shocked, especially my wife. She cried and complained all day about how unfair life was. With this illness, the only treatments available are chemotherapy and liver cell transplant surgery. The surgery could cost up to five hundred thousand yuan [approximately 15--20 years' salary for an average urban worker]. Being unemployed, it would be impossible for me to afford such treatment, and even if the operation were successful, there was no guarantee that I would fully recover from the illness. My only choice was to be hospitalized and receive chemotherapy treatment, with the hope that chemotherapy could extend my life for a little while.

Fortunately, I have a relative who is a Falun Dafa practitioner. When he learned that I had this incurable disease at such a young age, he felt sympathy for me. Out of a kind heart, he introduced Falun Dafa to me. He told me that hundreds and thousands of people had recovered from incurable illnesses after practicing Falun Dafa. He also told me many touching stories of how practitioners' xinxing was upgraded through cultivation. He then told me the facts about the Jiang regime's unlawful persecution of Falun Dafa. Finally, he said to me, "Why don't you practice Falun Gong? If you practice, not only will you recover, you will also receive blessings."

The following day, this relative of mine brought Teacher Li's tapes to me and let me listen, so I listened to one lecture each day. When I listened to the first lectures, I was somewhat sleepy and didn't fully believe what was being taught. However, the desire to survive gave me incentive to continue and finish listening to all nine lectures. I finally understood the mysteries of the origin of life, why people have illnesses, principles about genuinely changing one's life through cultivation, and more. I was receiving chemotherapy treatment while listening to the lectures. One day, I suddenly felt like vomiting. I felt a buzz in my head, fell to the floor and became unconscious. I lay on floor with my body in cramps. There was a pool of blood under my head. The doctor immediately carried out emergency rescue, but I did not stop bleeding. The most dangerous thing for a leukemia patient is bleeding. I was not even allowed to brush my teeth while in the hospital, because if I started bleeding, my life would be in danger. As a last resort, a surgeon came in to stitch up the wound to stop the bleeding. After that, I continued listening to Teacher's lectures throughout my chemotherapy treatments. When the doctors came to take out the stitches, my wound had recovered miraculously.

Time passed quickly. The New Year came. I was getting ready to go home and celebrate the New Year. The hospital did a comprehensive checkup on me. When the report came out, the chief and the doctor in charge were shocked. How could a leukemia patient who fell and injured himself recover so well? The pathological cells had vanished and my blood counts were basically normal. The doctors said that I was the first leukemia patient in their hospital who spent the least amount of money for chemotherapy treatments, yet showed the best results. My recovery strengthened my confidence in learning Falun Dafa.

After coming home, I began seriously studying the Fa and doing the exercises. My body felt lighter, and the soreness, pain and fatigue I had felt before all vanished. I gained weight and my complexion became rosy. My overall condition became normal. Many of my relatives couldn't believe that I had been diagnosed with leukemia. They all asked me if it was a mistake. I told them, "How could it be a mistake? Three well-known hospitals all diagnosed me with the same disease. How could they all have misdiagnosed me?" Comparing myself now to how I was when I was sick is like looking at two totally different people. My whole family witnessed the power of Dafa. Their miserable and worried expressions have vanished and have been replaced with happy smiles.

Falun Dafa is the supreme principle of the universe, and Zhuan Falun is a heavenly book. It not only reveals the mysteries of the whole universe, time space and the human body, it also points out the purpose of being a human being. I hope that everyone with a predestined relationship can obtain the Fa and receive life-long benefits.
