The Story of a Chinese Hairdresser

After the persecution began, a veteran practitioner from Mainland China found that her husband and mother-in-law believed the lies told by the Chinese Communist Party, and her husband divorced her. She then took her eight-year-old daughter to live with her mother.

Since the beginning of the persecution, authorities have monitored her and harassed her and illegally searched her home on a regular basis. Last year, public security officers arrested her for doing the exercises in the park. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, and five days later she was released.

Because she is a hairdresser, she realized that if she worked out on the streets cutting hair, she could speak to many people about the persecution. In order to reach more people, she does not charge very much for a haircut and puts clarifying the truth as her first priority. Whatever the weather, she shows up on time. Because she conducts herself as a practitioner in every circumstance and always treats people with compassion, providing good service at a low price, she has had a lot of customers during the last few years. She is so popular that customers now need to make an appointment several days in advance.

No matter where she goes or whom she meets, she always clarifies the truth. She always considers her audience and clarifies the truth from many different angles. As a result, more than 90 percent of her customers now understand the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. Some of them have been sincerely reciting, "Falun Dafa is good," and some have asked to learn the Falun Gong exercises. The whole town knows about her, and some people have said that they do not listen to the lies on TV anymore as they know that Falun Gong practitioners are all good people.
