Minghui Weekly Quietly Reaches Thousands of Families in Mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) The truth-clarifying newspaper Minghui Weekly has broken through Mainland China's information blockade in the past two months, and has been distributed rapidly and broadly, delivering the truth about Falun Dafa to thousands of families.

Minghui Weekly was established around the Chinese New Year of 2005. In its inaugural statement, it was written that, "This weekly publication is a window that the Minghui website is providing after breaking through the information blockade. Through this window, the Chinese people can exercise their right to know about Falun Gong. It is also a powerful tool for Falun Dafa practitioners in China who are clarifying the truth diligently."

Since March 1, 2005, Minghui Weekly has been released electronically. At present, its weekly electronic publishing volume is several million, while its printing volume in Mainland China is unable to be verified due to the persecution.

So far, the coverage of different local editions of Minghui Weekly in China have already reached 34 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions.

Minghui Weekly considers the different needs of various groups of Mainland Chinese readers. Each issue of the weekly report has three different editions: "City Oasis," addressing urban residents; "Village Folks," addressing the countryside; and "Cheerful Voices at Dawn," for young readers. Each edition may be used independently as a two-page flyer, allowing the publication to have more variety for different groups of readers. A supplement, added later to Minghui Weekly, has more content, including new knowledge and insights on aspects of science and culture. It may be used in combination with any edition mentioned above, making the capacity of the weekly publication broader and more in-depth.

Since the first issue of Minghui Weekly was released on February 6, 2005, ten issues have been published. With its unique characteristics of pure and simple thoughts, rich and extensive content, and direct style, it has won the hearts of many readers. Many people in Mainland China have subscribed after the initial delivery.

Many Falun Gong practitioners who participate in the distribution of Minghui Weekly feel that as more and more Mainland Chinese people clearly recognize the evil nature of the Communist Party, they are more eager to obtain literature about Falun Gong. They have shown more interest in having deeper understandings and thoughts about the unreasonable suppression of Falun Gong over the past five-plus years.
