Employees of the Children's Art School of the Hunan Province Department of Culture Are Forced to Defame Falun Gong

Just one week later, the young students in the No. 4 Calligraphy and Painting class were surprised to find that their very popular teacher, Ms. Gong Xianghui, had disappeared. Their teacher, Ms. Gong, is a Falun Gong practitioner. The school administration fired her because she refused to sign the so-called "safety responsibility letter," which contained statements that defamed Falun Gong.

At the beginning of the new semester, each employee in the school was required to sign a "safety responsibility letter." It even stated in part that, "Neither you nor any of your relatives can attend any Falun Gong activity" and "If any employee disobeys any of the contents listed above, no one in the whole group will receive a merit award." Dafa disciple Ms. Gong Xianghui firmly opposed the "responsibility letter," which defamed Falun Gong. She clearly expressed that she would never sign this kind of document.

On the afternoon of February 28, Ms. Gong was informed that the art school had made the decision to fire her. Deputy Director Chen Zheng and Lai Xinxing were present. When Ms. Gong asked the reason for her dismissal, they declared with one voice, "We are an education department. We cannot use someone like you, a Falun Gong practitioner."

According to available information, the Children's Art School of the Hunan Province Department of Culture not only unreasonably fired practitioner Ms. Gong Xianghui, but also rejected practitioner Qin Shulan, who had already accepted their offer to become a kindergarten teacher. The situation concerning practitioners Ms. Gong and Qin Shulan is more proof that the Jiang regime illegally deprives practitioners of the right to life and the right to work.
