Poem for Falun Dafa Day: The First Day of the Future

13 years ago the future began
One Man came for all and put out his hand
Offering not title, fame, gain nor wealth
But the selfless path, true spiritual health

History filled with struggles for ourselves
For legacy, pride, society delves
Money and name transient frailty
Endless wanting, disown humanity

So much daily racing, so little time
Just wanting to know, "What's the bottom line"
"What's in it for me"? What is there to gain?
I tell you, more suffering, strife and pain

Forged, tempered evil can only poison
CCPs nature, ultimate treason
Against not just, nation, nature, conscience
But in conflict with future's existence

In the transition of past to future
Selfless and selfish muddled together
Entering future the past on the wane
Some stubborn beings holding on in vain.

They say we are this, they say this and that
Ugly and weak, on their back falling flat
Our hearts still, aiming for highest mercy
Trying to awaken people to see

Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance
The source of all things good, pure transcendence
Falun Dafa a gift for all to see
Our Highest, Deepest, Thank You Master Li!!

Colossal firmaments beyond compare
Countless sentient beings, for all we care
For the good of all, striving every day
Forging selfless paths, in the True Great Way.

Shining more beauty than ever before
The new universe, home forevermore
The future to be, selfless purity
Once again we must Thank You, Master Li!!!
