Proclamation of Falun Dafa Week, Kenton County, Kentucky [May 13, 2005]

(Clearwisdom.net) Judge-Executive Ralph A. Drees of Kenton County, Kentucky, proclaimsMay 13, 2005 through May 20, 2005 as Falun Dafa Week in Kenton County, Kentucky.

Whereas: Falun Dafa is a peaceful and healthy practice system of mind, body and spirit with an emphasis on the universal principlel of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance), and ;

Whereas; The teachings of Falun Dafa, through meditation and spiritual cultivation, are perceived as an effective means of improving health and reducing stress, and;

Whereas: Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, has helped hundreds of millions across the world improve their health, moral standard and deepen their understanding of life, humanity and the universe through the practice of Falun Dafa, and;

Whereas: Transcending culture and racial boundaries, Falun Dafa has touched the lives of countless people in more than 30 countries, including many people in the U.S. of different ages, professions, and racial backgrounds, and;

Whereas: All Falun Dafa activities, including classes and practices, are offered by volunteers, and open to the public and free of charge, and;

Whereas: The persecution of the practitioners of Falun Dafa is an attack on basic human rights and should not be tolerated anywhere in the world.

Now, Therefore, I Ralph A. Drees, Kenton County Judge/Executive do hereby proclaim the week of May 13, 2005 through May 20, 2005 as:
