Texas: Falun Gong Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day in Houston (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) May 13 might be an ordinary day for most people, but it is a special day that all Falun Gong practitioners will always remember and celebrate.

Practitioners from Houston celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

On the morning of May 14, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Houston held activities in Memorial Park to celebrate the sixth World Falun Dafa Day and respectfully wish Master a happy 54^th birthday. May 13 also marked the 13^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the world.

Practitioners quietly practiced the Falun Gong exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts in Memorial Park, which has been a Falun Gong practice site for a long time. The park is also a beloved place for joggers. Practitioner Mr. Cai said, "Falun Gong has become part of our life." Almost every Saturday, practitioners come here to practice the exercises. Local residents who are curious about the practice sometimes come and ask questions. People often asked, "What kind of practice is this?" "What is Falun Gong?" "Why do the Chinese authorities suppress Falun Gong?" Practitioners take the opportunities to clarify the truth to people, which allows more and more people to understand Falun Dafa. The weekend group practice has also become a unique scene in this park.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Song said, "Over the past 13 years, the book Zhuan Falun has been translated into 28 languages and Falun Gong is now practiced in more than 70 countries. More than 2490 proclamations or letters have been issued by various governments and organizations to honor Falun Dafa and its founder. However, the suppression of Falun Gong is still going on in China and has lasted for six years now. Falun Gong practitioners persist in upholding their belief in 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.' Despite the propaganda spread by the Chinese state-owned media, practitioners clarify the truth to people and have exposed all of their lies. More and more people have come to know about the persecution and the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party."

Practitioner Ms. Chen said, "We want to help more people to learn what Falun Gong is."
