(Clearwisdom.net) On May 2, 2005, Mayor, Ralph Drew, of the Village of Belcarra, Province of British Columbia, Canada, proclaimed the month of May, 2005 as Falun Dafa Month in the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

Proclamation

Whereas: Falun Dafa is an ancient Chinese exercise to improve the body, mind, and spirit consisting of exercise, mediation and teachings that are rooted in the Chinese culture;

Whereas: Falun Dafa advocates truthfulness, compassion and tolerance;

Whereas: Falun Dafa publicly introduced in1992, is now practiced by more than 100 million people in more than 60 countries;

Whereas: Falun Dafa practitioners in Indiana note stress reduction, health improvement and spiritual growth;

Whereas: Numerous practitioners of Falun Dafa are persecuted in China for their teachings;

And Whereas: Carmel residents participate in the global efforts in peacefully appealing for freedom and human rights for those in need;

Now Therefore: I, Ralph Drew, Mayor of the Village of Belcarra, do hereby proclaim May 2005 as:

"Falun Dafa Month"

in the Province of British Columbia.
