Canada: Practitioners in Calgary Commemorate April 25, 1999 Peaceful Appeal (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Calgary to commemorate the 6^th Anniversary of the "April 25" Peaceful Appeal in Beijing and call on the Chinese government to stop the persecution immediately.

For six years, Falun Gong practitioners have been peacefully appealing to the Chinese government and clarifying the truth of the persecution to the people of the world in China and around the world. They hope the governments and people will learn the truth about Falun Gong and help end the persecution of "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," and the people who follow these principles. After six years of endeavors, numerous Chinese people and many foreign governments are aware of the persecution, but it is still continuing in China. Nearly 2000 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death, thousands jailed and millions of families affected. Recently, the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) reported that the Chinese Communist Party launched another round of arrests of Falun Gong practitioners nationwide.

By commemorating the April 25 Peaceful Appeal, Falun Gong practitioners showed the world that their efforts to end the persecution will never stop as long as the persecution is still going on in China.
