Finland: Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day in Helsinki (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the 13th of May, Falun Gong practitioners from several cities in Finland gathered in the centre of Helsinki to commemorate World Falun Dafa Day by displaying photos revealing Falun Dafa's grand spread around the world and the brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners during the past six years.

Since the location was close to a tourist attraction, people including tourists from various countries came and went in a continuous stream. Big banners reading "Falun Gong Is Good" and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" were very eye-catching. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises along with peaceful music. The demonstration attracted a lot of people. In the meantime, leaflets were given out and folded paper lotus flowers were given to children and the elderly. Some showed great interest in Falun Gong and talked with practitioners for a long time.
Many kind-hearted people came to read our display boards and showed concern for the brutal persecution taking place in China. Those who understood the truth showed sympathy and support by signing our petition. A group of young men lined up to sign their names on a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
We also met a number of Chinese tourists. Some had already heard the truth about Falun Gong. Most of them were willing to listen to us and accepted our leaflet and the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party." When some declined out of fear of getting into trouble on the way back to China, we then suggested to them that they read them in the privacy of their hotel or on the plane, which they gladly agreed to do.
