After I Began Practicing Falun Dafa, I No Longer Had Miscarriages

My daughter is 6 years old now. I had four miscarriages before conceiving her. At that time I had numerous health problems like arthritis, bad colds, toothaches and stomachaches with symptoms like abdominal chills even though I was sweating in a heated bed in the summer.

After the fourth miscarriage, my husband and I decided to focus on restoring my health rather than have children However, I got pregnant again by accident, which brought both joy and worries to my husband. I warned him that my body might not be able to carry the child. Since the first one and a half months of pregnancy, I started staying in bed because my abdomen felt heavy while standing for a long time.

I began reading Zhuan Falun when my mother-in-law, a practitioner, suggested that Falun Gong would be good for me. My husband preferred Chinese medicine as a remedy for avoiding a miscarriage, but my mother-in-law said that Falun Gong could ensure the health of the baby and myself. This being my fifth pregnancy, and the possibility of my health worsening in the event of another operation to clean the miscarriage worried me, as Chinese medicine had had little effect on me. By now, I had little faith in any medical treatment or medicine.

After reading Zhuan Falun once, I went to the group study at the practice site for the first time on the evening of January 2 (Chinese lunar calendar), 1999. As I listened carefully to the experience sharing of the practitioners, after about one hour I felt something rotating at my lower abdomen for about 50 minutes. My first thought was that it might be the baby, but I was less than 2 months pregnant (too early to feel the baby kicking) and I had never previously had this kind of feeling. After some time I understood the rotation to be clockwise for a while and then counter-clockwise for some time and the experience in my lower abdomen was wondrous beyond words. While going to the practice site, I had to hold my abdomen with my hands, but on the way back I was able to walk home easily and effortlessly after two hours of staying at the site.

Since this experience I have not the slightest doubt about Falun Gong. In the past few years of studying the Fa, our Teacher has revealed miracles to me to strengthen my trust in the Fa, and I feel Teacher's compassion from the bottom of my heart.

When I see others suffering from any disease or in trouble, I always feel like telling them: "If you practice Falun Gong, you will be all right. Why not give it a try?"

Hope for a Stroke Survivor

Mr. Zhang was a healthy man in his 50's and had hardly ever been ill. One day before the Chinese New Year in 2004, he went to a karaoke restaurant with a friend, had a sharp headache after singing a few songs, and lost consciousness on the spot. He was sent immediately to the hospital and was diagnosed as having a stroke. All the family savings was spent on the operation and the two months stay in the hospital, and although Mr. Zhang survived, he was completely incapacitated as he had lost sensation in all his nerves. The doctor told Mrs. Zhang: "His brain cells are all dead, and no medicine can cure this. You may consider giving up." Mr. Zhang was emaciated and his face had become ashen when his wife, with the help of others, brought him home.

While visiting the family, a practitioner said to Mrs. Zhang, "I can give you a book, Zhuan Falun, and you may want to read it aloud to him when you have time. Also, you can recite 'Falun Dafa is Good'" to him.

After a while, the practitioner visited the family again. Mrs. Zhang said happily: "He has regained some sensation now. He can chew, his left arm can move, and he can comb his hair." Yesterday we went to see Mr. Zhang again, and found that his face looked healthy and rosy. Although lying in bed, he looked even healthier than the average person. His wife told us joyfully: "His body is recovering day by day. Now he can inform me of his passing urine when he coughs. His thighs are also having sensations, and his memory seems to be coming back. Yesterday he wrote his name with his left hand." We asked her about the progress of his eating and she replied that he could now eat more than one bowl of rice each meal and that he has gained some weight. Her husband could hear and understand what we were saying and later she remarked that it was unbelievable that her husband could recover so quickly, as many patients who had gone to the hospital at the same time, whether they were younger or older, had died. She was very grateful to us. We told her: "You don't need to be grateful to us--you should thank Teacher Li and Dafa!"
