Radio Free Asia: Support from Germany for the Appeal to Rescue Jiang Renzheng

German International human rights organizations, media and MPs appealed to rescue Jiang Renzheng, a Falun Gong practitioner who was imprisoned by the Chinese Government after he and his family were deported back to China from Germany. The following is based on a report by Tian Yi, a special reporter for the Radio Free Asia station.

Because he took part in Falun Gong activities in Germany, Mr. Jiang Renzheng, who was deported to China's Liaoning Province in early March, was persecuted at once and was put in prison on April 8, 2005. It is over a month since the incident occurred, which has been drawing the understanding and attention of more and more people in Germany. Therefore, the reporter interviewed Madame Wiliben, a friend of Mr. Jiang Renzheng when he was in Germany, and asked her to reveal the latest reaction from the German people and media concerned. In the meantime, Madame Wiliben said that more and more MPs and government departments have come to know about this matter.

It is a known fact that the German Diplomatic Service has already asked the Chinese Government about the matter of Jiang Renzheng, hoping that the Chinese Government can specifically reply clearly about Mr. Jiang Renzheng's present situation.
