High School Student Zhao Qi Lives Alone After Her Mother Died as a Result of the Persecution

Miss Zhao Qi, born in 1987, is an outstanding junior in the Wuhan City No. 19 High School. Her father died when she was three years old. Her mother, Ms. Sun Juxiang, was an employee of the Wuhan Zhongxin Department Store. Ms. Sun began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996.

After Jiang's regime started the persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Sun persisted in her practice. She lived under constant pressure from the department store leaders as well as her relatives. Her environment was so hostile that she suffered a great deal emotionally and died on August 6, 2004.

Zhao Qi now lives alone in a small room, less than 100 square feet, and on a monthly stipend of only 135 yuan. After her mother died, the department store officials made a one-time payment, averaging 220 yuan a month covering the months until October 17, 2005, when she will become 18 years old.
