(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner from China. My mother began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997, and I started to practice in 2002. When the persecution started, the police came to my house to harass us many times. My mother went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and was arrested several times. In September 2002, my mother and others were turned in and arrested for sending out Dafa truth clarification materials, and were held in the Drug Rehabilitation Center in Harbin.

On February 13, 2005, my mother was released and allowed to return home. She was dying. She had generalized edema as a result of enduring all sorts of torture while in prison. She had been doused with cold water, forced to sit on a concrete floor and forced to squat all night while in handcuffs. She was kept in a room with the doors and windows open in the freezing winter, wearing only a thin layer of clothes. Mother was injured so badly that she bled profusely through her lower body; she had to get up seven or eight times at night to use the bathroom. Even though she was so weak and sick that she was unable to take care of herself, the authorities forced her to work while in prison. Mother passed away on March 26, 2005.

When I returned to school one afternoon, the last class was independent study without a teacher. I went to the front of the class and began: "My mother was persecuted to death by prison guards because she practiced Falun Dafa." The entire class was dumbfounded; they put down their pens and looked up at me. I calmly stated: "She was innocent, she practiced 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' and just wanted to be a good person. I came from a single-parent family; it was not easy for her to raise me. I had a wonderful home. Mother never lost her temper; she was a gentle and a kind mother. My mother suffered the most brutal persecution in prison. After she was taken away from me, I had no income. I went to the police station to ask for the money they extorted from my family. They did not give it back to me but kicked me out." My classmates were outraged, and some were in tears.

I told them that the self-immolation in Tiananmen Square was staged, that the authorities made it up to deceive people. I said that they have persecuted so many people to death! My mother and all the practitioners who practiced "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" are the best people in the world. My classmates asked me why not sue those people who persecuted my mother. I told them I wanted to, but most of the evidence was hidden from me; there were no tapes, no records, and the hospital diagnosed her with cancer on purpose, in order to cover up the criminal acts committed by the labor camp. My mother's kidneys were destroyed and she had generalized edema. Her hands and arms were so swollen that the guards could no longer handcuff her. My classmates asked, "How can we help you?" I answered, "Let us write to the labor camp and ask them to stop persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners right away." We wrote over sixty letters. We wrote about human dignity, human rights, the law, conscience, morality and justice. My classmates were all moved.

The teachers took away those letters. They threatened to sabotage our ability to take the college entrance exams and described me as a dangerous character. However, my classmates knew the truth in their hearts now. One of them said: "I would give up my life if I could stop the suffering endured by the practitioners in prison."

The police made up rumors that I told my classmates that I would set myself on fire in order to protest. They also threatened not to let me take the college entrance exam, and the teacher said I was a bad student.

During that period of time, I continued to study the Fa. No pressure will ever change my righteous thoughts. I practice "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." What am I afraid of? I will clarify the truth any chance I have.
