My Uncle, A Party Official, Finally Realizes That Falun Dafa is Good and the Communist Party is Evil

My uncle is a regional-level officer for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). At 74 years old, he was used to accepting the lies and propaganda of the CCP at face value. He was completely under the influence of the CCP and could not think for himself. As a result, when my husband and I tried clarifying the truth to him several times in the past, he could never accept it.

In March of this year, he came to our house for a visit. I thought to myself that this opportunity was arranged by Master for us to clarify the truth to him and that we should not be concerned about his possible reactions. My husband and I decided that, while one of us was talking, the other would send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the possessing spirit of the CCP.

After my uncle arrived, we talked to him about how the Party had persecuted my husband and me, about the persecution of practitioners we personally knew, and about how some practitioners have been persecuted to death. These facts were powerful and got his attention. He appeared to become a little more clearheaded.

Next we showed him a VCD that exposed many evil aspects of the persecution. After the video ended, his first statement was, "How can the CCP be so bad now? It looks like the persecution is really unjustifiable. The government should not treat you people this way." This was a huge change from his former attitude, but when we continued and talked about how the CCP has brought disaster to the world's people, he reverted to his former opinions. He said, "The CCP is very cruel and harsh. We should not go against something stronger than we are."

We then played for him a VCD featuring The Epoch Times' Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. In two days we watched all nine commentaries. My uncle observed that the commentaries contained very powerful facts. He said, "Many of these things I have experienced myself. It is not made up. The Nine Commentaries use facts and reasoning to show the truth. It looks like I was very narrow-minded in the past, when I always thought the CCP was good. After watching this, I feel as if I have awakened from a dream. The CCP is truly evil; it is downright rotten."

Afterwards, we talked more to him about the truth of Falun Dafa. We made it clear to him that Falun Dafa does not participate in politics; instead it is saving the world's people. We told him sincerely that we hoped he understood, and he nodded his head to say he did. We gave him some truth-clarifying cards. As he left our home, he said he would truly treasure them. We reminded him as he left to repeat, "Falun Dafa is good" frequently, and he said he would.
