Ninety-Year-Old Practitioner Dies under Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Sun Zhongren, 90 years old, was a farmer from Linghe Village, Linghe Town, Anqiu City, Shandong Province. He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 when he was over 80 years old. After he finished reading Zhuan Falun the first time, he said excitedly, "My mother told me before she died, 'You must wait to receive the Fa.' This is the Fa that I am supposed to receive."

Sun Zhongren disciplined himself strictly according to "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance," ever since he started practicing Falun Dafa. He benefited from the practice both mentally and physically. Mr. Sun used his personal experience to actively validate Falun Dafa.

After July 20, 1999, Jiang and his regime started persecuting Falun Dafa. Mr. Sun was harassed, threatened, and forced to undergo brainwashing by the local police.

In 2002, policemen from Linghe Town Substation ordered Mr. Sun to attend a brainwashing class, and he refused. They then demanded that Mr. Sun give up his belief. Under tremendous pressure, Mr. Sun compromised and renounced Falun Dafa.

Although he never stopped studying the Fa, doing the exercises, and performing some Falun Dafa work, Sun Zhongren suffered emotionally under the severe pressure of the persecution. He died suddenly at the end of 2003.
