Mr. Wu Quanyi from Baicheng City, Jilin Province Persecuted to Death, His Two Children Illegally Sentenced to Prison

Fifty-two-year-old Mr. Wu Quanyi, former vice-secretary general of the Baicheng City People's Congress, Jilin Province, was taken from his home to a detention center by the Changqing police in the Taobei District of Baicheng City. On October 29, 2001, he was illegally sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp, where he was physically and mentally abused. He passed away on March 6, 2004.

Wu Quanyi's son, Mr. Wu Qingdong, 29, started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. On September 15, 2001 Wu Qingdong, his younger sister Wu Qingchun and their father were unlawfully taken from their home. On June 10, 2002 the son was illegally sentenced to jail for eight years and imprisoned in Jilin Prison for continued persecution.

Wu Quanyi's daughter Ms. Wu Qingchun, 25, also started practicing in 1998. On September 15, 2001 she was illegally taken away from home and on October 29 she was sentenced to three years of forced labor at Changchun Heizuizi Labor Camp, where she was imprisoned and persecuted. On May 16, 2002 she was tricked by authorities from the city police station and ministry of state security into returning to the local detention center. In October, she was sentenced to prison for six years and sent to Changchun City Women's Prison. At present, due to brainwashing and torture, Wu Qingchun has become a "collaborator", and cooperates with the police to spread false doctrines to confuse other practitioners.
