By a practitioner from Mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) I am 71 years old. I started practicing Falun Gong on April 3, 1998. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, I have continually gone to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.

Once, I was sent to a detention center. The detention guard asked me to report to the interrogation room and give them information. I did not cooperate. While in the room, I insisted on doing the Falun Gong exercises. They handcuffed me and put me in the detention cell where two other Falun Gong practitioners were handcuffed.

On October 4, 2001, I went to Tiananmen Square to unfold a Falun Gong banner. I was arrested by the Beijing local police. On the afternoon of that same day, my son and grandson picked me up from the police station. The Falun Gong banner was returned to me.

In 2002, after I read Teacher's new article, "Look at Things with Righteous Thoughts," I took some truth clarifying VCDs and an urgent appeal letter and went to visit my work unit's head to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. They sent me to the county detention center. When they asked for my name, I simply declared that I was a Falun Gong practitioner. At the time my mind was very righteous. They did not continue with their questions, but asked me to be calm and told me that they knew what I wanted to say.

I was later sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor, but was not actually sent to the labor camp. On the morning of May 3, I saw Teacher's Fashen once I started to do the Falun Gong exercises.

When noon came, they locked me on a large board for torture. I gathered all my strength and shouted, "Our Teacher is good. Falun Dafa is good." Then they threatened me that they would sentence me to 3 years of forced labor instead of one and a half years. I replied, "I will not even serve 3 days of my term. My Teacher is taking care of his disciples all the way to the end."

Eventually, I was released and sent back home. The authorities hired people and paid them 3,000 yuan to monitor all my activities. I continued posting flyers on which I had written, "Falun Dafa is good."

I made 12 Falun emblems out of colored cloth. Another fellow practitioner helped me make a lotus flower which I am waiting to present to my Teacher.

Fellow practitioners, our Teacher said in "True Cultivation" that,

"....in order to save you the Buddha once begged for food among everyday people? Today, I once again make the door wide open, and teach this Dafa to save you. I have never felt bitter for the numerous hardships I have suffered. Then what do you have that still can't be abandoned?" (Essentials for Further Advancement)

Let's hurry up and follow our Teacher to go back home. Teacher has given us Falun Gong practitioners all the best since the remote ancient ages.
