Experiences and Understandings Gained Through Cultivation During the Fa Rectification

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently while I was studying "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York," a certain part of this lecture touched me deeply: "Before, when so much evil was pressed down here, the Three Realms was saturated with it, and it filled the air. Take a breath and it would get sucked into your belly--that's how much there was. Evil was everywhere, and each and every little thing was dominated by that evil. The grass would trip you up, and tree branches would whip you in the face. When you walked beside a wall it would hit you in the head. It all seemed natural to you, but it wasn't--that was how evil it was." Each Dafa practitioner felt the evilness of the conditions during that time period, and felt the difficulty in clarifying the truth and offering sentient beings salvation. For example, my fellow practitioners and I at the time did not know about the concept of becoming a whole body. We all went out separately to hand out flyers or to put up Dafa information. Then, because of our attachment of fear, we felt that even handing out just one flyer was very difficult; it seemed as if everyone was looking at us, and our heart might jump out from fear at the rate it was beating.
Later on, the five of us formed a Fa study and truth clarification group. An elderly practitioner provided us with her motorcycle for transportation, and we began our journey of cultivation during the Fa rectification period. With Dafa's magnificence and Teacher's care we overcame many tribulations. We handed out flyers in over 100 villages. Each village has a population of approximately 3,000 people. We opened an environment for cultivation and for the awakening of sentient beings.
Recalling the winter of 2000, the weather was always gloomy and the wind was fierce every time we went to pass out flyers at night. It was difficult even just to breathe. The siren of the police cars passing blared over and over again. The whole setting produced a fearsome atmosphere. In this evil environment, the two of us silently asked Teacher to help us while we rode through the night on the motorcycle. We did not know about sending forth righteous thoughts. The atmosphere changed when we finished distributing the flyers. The wind stopped, the fog cleared, and one could see stars shining down from the night sky. Our hearts became a lot lighter. Although we could not see anything specific, we could feel that we had just been through a battle between good and evil, and that the evil had been destroyed.
After dinner on the first day of the Spring Festival in 2003, two practitioners traveled on the motorcycle to distribute 300 flyers in a village 8 miles away. The motorcycle's light suddenly went out after they had ridden about 6 miles. They discussed and decided it would be impossible to fix the motorcycle because all the stores were closed on New Year's Day. They didn't want to go home until all of the 300 flyers had been distributed. As they walked, they sent forth righteous thoughts and asked for Teacher's help. When they had walked for about 100 meters, the motorcycle headlamp suddenly lit up. The two practitioners' excitement was beyond words. They were grateful for the support of compassionate Teacher, and attested to the magnificence of Dafa. With the help of Teacher, they were able to give the flyers to the sentient beings with predestined relationships.
The next day when we took the headlamp bulb out, all five of us laughed! The whole bulb was burned black and twisted, and yet yesterday it had lit the way to awakening sentient beings!
Teacher said in the "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York," "The entire Three Realms, including all beings in human society, were constructed, formed, came about, were born, and were created so that sentient beings could be rescued and saved amidst the Fa-rectification at the cosmos's final time. In other words, the Three Realms were constructed for this purpose, for the purpose of saving the beings in the cosmos." The motorcycle we rode is also an implement that has come for Dafa. It has completed its mission in our journey of saving sentient beings, and prepared for itself a good position in the future.
We are sharing our experiences because, first of all, we want to validate that Dafa is indeed a profound science. Teacher has always been looking after us, and it is up to us on how to handle each situation. Second, it is also to encourage those practitioners who have not stepped forward and we hope that they will take that step soon. Just as Teacher said, "Let go of their long-standing human attachments and start to seize the day and comprehensively save the world's people." ("Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People") We should diligently complete the three things which Dafa practitioners need to do, be worthy of Teacher's compassionate salvation, and complete our missions.
