Practitioner Wang Fengyu Imprisoned at the Jinan City Liuchangshan Detention Center, Shandong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Fengyu, who is in his fifties, is currently imprisoned simply because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. Prior to his arrest, the police harassed and closely monitored him. Early one morning in 2002, police from the Fangxia Police Station arrested Mr. Wang and took him to a brainwashing center in Xiaoyi Township, Laicheng District. He was forced to listen to anti-Falun Gong propaganda, and was tortured both physically and mentally.

Ten days later, Wang Fengyu escaped using righteous thoughts. Staff from the brainwashing center and the Fangxia Police Station searched for him everywhere. To avoid recapture, he did not return home. The police threatened his family and harassed them twice per month. One evening around May 1, 2003, they ransacked Mr. Wang's home. Their continual harassment caused his fifteen-year-old daughter tremendous mental anguish. His son was not allowed to join the army because his father was a practitioner.

After two and a half years of separation from his family, Wang Fengyu was recaptured by the Jinan City Tianqiao District Police Department on December 20, 2004. Several days later, the police department sent a "warrant of custody" to his family. On February 1, 2005, they sent an arrest notice to his family. Wang Fengyu is currently being held at the Jinan City Detention Center.
