(Clearwisdom.net) On June 4, 2005, practitioners from Oregon and Washington State participated in Portland's annual grand "Starlight Parade," the highlight of Portland's Rose Festival. This is the third time that practitioners have participated in this grand event.

Among all kinds of floats and bands, which extended for miles, the Falun Gong practitioners' group brought the spectators the legendary traditional Chinese culture. While the spectators were amazed by the exciting Lion dance, they were also impressed by the beautiful and pure Lotus dance. More than 350,000 people watched the parade. KGB News Channel 8 and Comcast 49 broadcast the whole parade live, and more than 1 million TV viewers also had the opportunity to see the beauty of Falun Gong on this early summer night.

Oregon's largest newspaper, The Oregonian, selected a photo of practitioners performing the Lotus dance as a highlight of the parade. Neighbors and colleagues of one practitioner highly rated the practitioners' performance after they watched the parade on TV. The practitioner said, "One of my neighbors couldn't say enough wonderful things to commend our parade. Apparently, our performance has deeply impressed him."
