In May 2005, police from Hengtai County, Shandong Province went to the Shengli Oil Field where they worked with officials from the Binhai Public Security Bureau and the Shengli Oil Field to arrest Zhang Ai'quan, Wang Minyun and Yu Desheng. They also searched the homes of Zhang Ai'quan and Yu Desheng. They are being held by the Hengtai County Police. The Hengtai police refuse to let their families see them.

After 6:00 p.m. on May 10, 2005, about six policemen broke into Ms. Zhang Ai'rong's home in the Yangkou Salt Center in Shouguang City. Ms. Zhang and her husband were at home. The police searched Ms. Zhang's home without a search warrant and found nothing. The police climbed a ladder to the roof where they found truth-clarifying materials. They arrested Ms. Zhang. About five days later, people from her workplace came to Ms. Zhang's home and took some of her clothes. They sent Ms. Zhang to the Weifang Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Li Zhanglin, 42, is from Xiazhuang Village, Handan County, Hebei Province. After he started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, his hepatitis and anemia disappeared. He was thankful for Falun Dafa. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, he went to Beijing to clarify the truth. He was arrested and sent back to Handan, where he was tortured at the Handan No. 2 Forced Labor Camp. Camp personnel shocked the sensitive parts of his body with electricity, burned him with cigarettes and slapped him repeatedly. Every day, he was handcuffed. He suffered a mental collapse due to the mistreatment and intense pressure.

A practitioner who refuses to tell the authorities her name is jailed in the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Those who were released from the labor camp say she is from Fushun City. Since she refused to tell her name, she was called "No Name." She has been on a hunger strike for more than twenty days. Every day, she is force-fed a little corn paste. She is forced to sit on a small stool. One time when she went to the washroom, she lost consciousness. After that she was force-fed on the bed (it is said that she is charged 20 to 60 yuan each time she is force-fed). Her life is in immediate danger.

Mr. Dong Shaohua is jailed in the Number 20 Jail District of the Chagchun Tiebei Jail. Because he practiced the exercises, the police won't allow him to have visitors. He has been on a hunger strike for several days. The jail staff sent him to the hospital to be force-fed. When he was walking, a jail employee named Kong Xiangxin covered his mouth and did not allow him to talk. Mr. Liu Zhaoguo is also on a hunger strike.

Ms. Zhang Wenrong, a practitioner from Guozhuang Village, Fengtai District, Beijing City is from Hebei Province. She is 47 years old and was arrested on April 24, 2005.

At the end of 2004, eight or nine practitioners from Wenling, including Yu Lixin and Hong Misu were sentenced to three to five years each for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Yu Lixin has been on a hunger strike for over 70 days and was sentenced to five years in prison. Yu is jailed in Hangzhou City.

At noon on May 12, 2005, Lou Guilan and Yang Liqing, from Xuezhuang Village, Hutunxiang, Chiping County, Shandong Province were sent to the Chiping County Detention Center for posting truth-clarifying posters.

Ms. Li Yujun went on a hunger strike to protest being forbidden to do the exercises. She lost consciousness days ago and was sent to the Qingchun Hospital. Xie Meiying was jailed at the same time as Li Yujun.

Ms. Wang Guilan, who is in her 70s, and her daughter, Ms. Zhang Xiuying, in her 40s, are from the Jiang'an District of Wuhan City, Hebei Province. On April 13, 2005, the mother and daughter clarified the truth to relatives and friends in their hometown of Xuzhou City. Their relatives reported them. The Xuzhou City police arrested them.

It is said that the police shocked Ms. Zhang with electric batons and beat her for a long time. While beating her, they knocked out one of her teeth. At the end of April, the two were transferred to Wuhan City. The police released Ms. Wang as a ploy to lure her daughter. They then watched her home. Her daughter Zhang Xiuying was sent to the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in the Jiang'an District.

On May 27, 2005, five or six policemen from Shouguang City, Weifang, Shandong Province drove to Dongguang Village, Liulu Town, to arrest Ms. Li Guizhen, a practitioner who was taking care of her grandson. They searched her home. When Ms. Li's husband and son came home from work and learned of this, they made inquiries at the Liulu Police Substation. The police then beat both the father and son and detained them in Shouguang City for two weeks. Ms. Li's whereabouts are unknown.

A policeman named Geng, from the Shuangdao Town Police Substation, along with Liu Jitian from Beihai Village, the 610 Office, and the Lushunkou District Public Security Bureau arrested Ms. Han Shuang, who is 37 years old. She was transferred to the Huanbao Hotel in Dalian City and subjected to forced brainwashing.

Ms. Han was force-fed by about six policemen because she was steadfast in cultivating Dafa and refused to sign her name. The police cut her throat. Since she kept bleeding, the police have not let her go.

Ms. Han Shuang's father could only hide and cry when he witnessed the police torturing his daughter.

Since April 2005, Mr. Li Jide and Ms. Zhang Guixiang, who is in her 60s, from Beihai Village, have been taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. This is the second time Ms. Zhang has been jailed at Masanjia.

From 10:00 p.m. on March 7, 2005, to 3:00 a.m. the next day, guards named Guo Lingling and Jing Xuefeng of the Gansu Women's Forced Labor Camp made drug addicts Shan Guilian, Yu Yang, Li Hongwen, Xu Lifang and Ma Shuling beat Ms. Yang Wenying. They beat her to the ground. Ms. Yang shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," so they forced a towel into her mouth. They beat and kicked her body, chest and stomach. San Guilian stepped on her arm. Ma Shuling sat on her chest and slapped her face. They covered her head with a quilt and beat her viciously. She was forced to stand around the clock for 18 days. As a result of the beatings, Ms. Yang's lower body bled severely. She was tortured like this for over 25 days. Qiang Weixiu went on a hunger strike for over 18 days to protest this torture. On May 17, Qiang Weixiu was put in a small cell.

The officials who persecute practitioners include the Director Yang Delan, Sun Xiaotian, Political Commissioner Wang Qianjin, Section Chief Nian Xuefeng, team leader Fan Yirong, Guo Lingling, Jing Xuefeng, Wang Hongjuan, Ma Wei, Ma Ying and Liu Yingmei.

On May 11, 2005, about twenty policemen arrested Ms. Wang Changxiang's son Xiao Tao (nickname) from Shimiaozi Village, Wuli Town, Qingzhou City. Insiders said it was because they found him surfing the Internet.

Xiao Tao also practices Falun Gong. He is 22 years old. He works for the Yishun Stove Facilities Factory of Wangfu, Qingzhou City. The police confiscated all of the computers from his workplace. The police forced Ms. Wang's husband to take them to where his wife was working in the field so they could arrest her. They then searched their home.

It has been confirmed that practitioners Liu Yu and Mr. Sun Jiefeng from Shenzhen City were arrested at Liu's home on March 1, 2005, after the police forced their way in. They are being held in the Long'gang District Detention Center of Shenzhen City. Mr. Sun went on a hunger strike for nine days and has been force-fed.
