Persistently Clarify the Truth and Never Stop Saving Sentient Beings

(Clearwisdom.net) In clarifying the truth I always go on foot. I have already worn out several pairs of shoes. On my way, I talk to whomever I meet. I have realized that they are all people who have predestined relations with me, so I should not miss the opportunity to help them. Clarifying the truth has gone very smoothly for me and I have not encountered any trouble. This is really remarkable. I know that because I am under the compassionate care of Teacher, the evil cannot see me when I am handing out the truth-clarification materials.

I am 72 years old and have five sons and one daughter. Six of my grandsons have graduated from Beijing University. After I gave birth to my third child, suddenly one day, I felt extreme pain all over my body and I could not straighten my back anymore. Gradually my finger joints became deformed. Other people said that it was rheumatoid arthritis. However, I had no money to go to see a doctor, so I had to endure the pain. Sometimes when it was hard to endure, I had to ask my three children to step on my back forcefully. This was the only way that I could release some of my pain.

In 1996, I was fortunate enough to come across Falun Dafa and embarked on the road of cultivation thereafter. It was Teacher's great mercy that cleaned out all of my karma that had accumulated in my past lives. To express my gratitude, I was determined to do well the three things that Teacher has asked us to do.

If we want to do the three things well, the most important thing is to study the Fa well. However, I could not read and write, so I could only listen to fellow practitioners read the book. I was really worried and asked my grandsons to teach me. They said, "Granny, how can we teach you? You don't even know one character." I replied, "You teach me how to read a sentence first, and then I will try to recognize them one by one." At the very beginning, it took me six to seven days to recognize one character, but gradually I picked up speed. I slept very little and was so anxious to read through Zhuan Falun at once. It took me a little more than a year to be able to read Zhuan Falun. Every time when Teacher's new article was published, I would listen to fellow practitioners read it first, and then tried to read it slowly by myself after coming back home. By the time I was able to read the Fa, I seized the time to study the Fa and felt that I had improved my level very quickly. This was particularly so during the Fa-rectification period. I set the standards for myself in accordance with the Fa and seized the time to clarify the truth to non-practitioners. I started doing truth-clarification in the summer of 2002 and haven't stopped since.

I normally only have one meal a day. I get up at 5 a.m. to do the exercises, have a meal after 7 a.m. and leave home at 8 a.m. sharp. I spend most of my time in the rural areas to expose the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa. When I came back home, it is usually very late, but I do not feel hungry. In order to seize the time to study the Fa, I would not eat. Every day I study one lecture. Sometimes I come back home at around midnight, but to make up the Fa study, I would not go to sleep and study until early the next morning. By then I would do the exercises again. On the eve of the Chinese New Year's Day and on New Year's Day, I went out to clarify the truth as usual.

One day when I was handing out truth-clarification materials and VCD's, a big man in his 30s came and said, "Give me a VCD." He showed complete indifference, so I said to him, "Since you don't really want the VCD, I don't want to give it to you. I can give you something to read but you should not throw it away. After you read it, you must pass it to your relatives or friends." He asked me what it was. I told him that it exposes the persecution of Falun Gong. He told me that we were not allowed to read Falun Gong stuff. I replied, "Why not? As long as it teaches people to be a better person, you should read it." He asked me if I dared to go with him. I said, "Sure, I was just wondering who I was going to eat with!" That man was stunned. After a while he said, "I have a very bad stomachache." I told him that if he had a stomachache, he should squat down and read the truth-clarification material. He then indeed began to read the materials I gave to him. Meanwhile, I went ahead to clarify the truth to other people. After talking to a dozen people or so, I came back to look for that man. He was nowhere to be found. I asked somebody next to me, "Where did that man go?" It turns out that he was the head of police substation! I said, "I won't be scared even if he is the head of the police department! Why should I be scared, since I am doing a good thing and have not violated the law?"

Since the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, I felt that time was even more pressing, and that it was even more important to clarify the truth in a thorough and painstaking way. If I ran into someone that had not read the Nine Commentaries, then I would talk to them about how important it is to position themselves correctly and ask them to read the Nine Commentaries. I would also ask if they were members of the CCP or the Chinese Youth League. If they were, I would ask them to read the Nine Commentaries first and promise to go back in 4 or 5 days. When I went back to them after that period of time, I would ask if they had finished it and if they were prepared to quit the Party and the League. After these efforts, quite a few people, even entire families, withdrew from the Party and its Youth League.

When clarifying the truth, I am not attached to how many copies of truth-clarification materials I can hand out. Instead, I let things happen naturally. Normally I would give out more than one hundred copies of truth-clarification materials and talk to people face to face. In the rural areas, I could talk to at least 50 to 60 people. When I did it in the street, I still managed to talk to 20 or 30 people. I felt extremely happy to see people that are saved. Teacher has said,

"Cultivation paths are different,
Yet all are within Dafa,
With no attachment to anything,
The path underfoot is naturally clear."

I came to the understanding that on the path of cultivation, there is nothing for me to copy since every practitioner has his or her own path. Other practitioners have different opinions about the way I clarify the truth, so I once felt a lot of resentment. However, I knew that was a test for my xinxing. I looked inside and told myself not to have the attachment of complacency and showing-off. Recently I studied Teacher's lecture "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference" and some other new articles, and realized that it was the Communist evil spirit that attempted to separate Dafa practitioners and to reduce our strength as one body. I stepped up my effort in sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the Communist evil factors and foil their plot. I felt Falun Dafa is like a gigantic furnace, melting all of us together, and in the process we are gradually tempered to maturity. The whole process of cultivation is in essence a process of maturing as one body. Teacher doesn't want anything from us and only looks to see if our hearts are genuinely cultivating toward compassion. I hope that more and more fellow practitioners will join together and closely follow Teacher's Fa rectification process, improve diligently together and fulfill our prehistoric, grand wish!
