We Must Manifest Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions in Every Aspect of Life

(Clearwisdom.net) After the past few years of trials and tribulations, I now have even greater respect for Falun Gong and a better understanding of the solemnity of cultivation practice. I have also realized that it is essential that we manifest righteous thoughts and righteous actions in every aspect of life. Teacher has repeatedly told us the importance of studying the Fa more, clarifying the truth, and sending forth righteous thoughts. Only when we do the three things well persistently will we be able to keep up with Teacher's Fa-rectification.

I live in a farming village in China. I have tons of chores during the day, so I make the best of my evenings by studying the Fa. Only when I study the Fa well will I be spared from the illusions of everyday people's society and will I have more powerful righteous thoughts. Only when we are steered by our righteous thoughts will our speech and actions be on the Fa.

My daughter-in-law didn't know much about Falun Gong prior to the persecution. She does not practice Falun Gong,. When Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started spreading lies to justify their persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, my daughter-in-law fell prey to their hate propaganda and became hostile to me. The cultivation environment in my home was obstructed as a result.

I decided that I must start by rectifying my home environment to save my family from Jiang Zemin and the CCP's poisonous lies. I told my family the history of Falun Gong since it was introduced to the public in China in 1992. I explained to them Falun Gong's positive influence on society, Jiang Zemin's mad jealousy of Teacher and Falun Gong's popularity, and how Jiang Zemin staged the self-immolation incident on Tiananmen Square to destroy Falun Gong's good name.

Eventually my daughter-in-law understood and accepted the truth about Falun Gong and the truth about Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong. My family no longer objects to my practicing Falun Gong. Moreover, they have become friends of Falun Gong. If fellow practitioners deliver Falun Gong truth-clarification materials to my home when I am away, my family will take the materials and hide them until I return home. In the past, my family would never agree to do so.

I previously made the mistake of regarding the obstruction from my family only on a sentimental level. I thought, "My family members have been under a lot of pressure from the CCP. They try to stop me from practicing Falun Gong because they fear for my safety and because they don't want to see me locked in prison suffering horrible tortures." Now I have realized that if I had followed my family's advice to "stop practicing Falun Gong when the CCP tells me so," I would have nourished the CCP's evil specter and I would have become an obstruction to Teacher's Fa-rectification. From now on I must do the three things even better and help my family see through the barbaric, brutal nature of the CCP.

I started practicing Falun Gong before the persecution began in 1999. I was tormented by multiple types of illnesses in the past, but since I started practicing Falun Gong, I have become very healthy and energetic. I no longer need any medicine. When my husband witnessed my transformation, he slowly began practicing Falun Gong and studying the Fa with me. In the fall of 2004, he was riding a bicycle on the streets when a tractor suddenly came at him. Before he knew it, his bicycle was totaled, but he was standing on the side of the road perfectly unharmed. My husband returned home and told me about the accident, and I told him, "If it had not been for Teacher's protection, I don't know what would have happened to you! Teacher has given you a second lease on life!"

I conduct myself according to Falun Gong's cultivation principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in my everyday life, particularly when I encounter a conflict. I make a conscious effort to govern my each and every thought. Each Falun Gong practitioner represents the image of Falun Gong. With that in mind, I must govern myself according to the standard of a Falun Gong cultivator. When I do so, I feel as if I have become a new, better person. From now on, I must do even better to take bigger strides towards godhood.
