President of German Company: "We Are Not Looking for Communist Party Members Here."
(Clearwisdom.net) A recent university graduate was interviewing for a
position with a Chinese-German joint venture. He had met all the qualifying
requirements, and in an attempt to improve his chances of getting the offer, he
said to the president of the German company, "I am also a Communist Party
member." Upon hearing this, the president replied, "We are not looking for
Communist Party members here. Hurry along now, and go serve your Communist
Party." This graduate had intended to impress the interviewer with his Party
membership. Instead, he quickly discovered that it was not an asset, but a
liability that had cost him any chance he may have had at landing this ideal
job. When he later related the experience to his fellow alumni, one of them
remarked, "I was just about to join the Party to improve my chances of
finding a good job, but now this has changed my mind." May 22, 2005 |
