The detained practitioners' righteous thoughts and actions at Tilanqiao Prison greatly shake and restrain the evil there. Every time they bring Mr. Du Ting to be force-fed, he shouts, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore the innocence of Falun Dafa! Restore the innocence of my Master!" Practitioner Lan Bing told the prison guard firmly, "Falun Dafa is the righteous law! It will bring benefits to every single living being."

"Falun Dafa is good" reverberates through Tilanqiao Prison

During practitioner Mr. Du Ting's hunger strike in 2001, the prison guard locked him in the small cell, shackled him, disregarded how weak his body was after being on a hunger strike for nearly a year, and punished him by forcing him to sit on a board [a torture implement]. A couple of prisoners stormed into Mr. Du's small cell to force-feed him, pressing him down on the floor; some stepped on his body, some pressed his head, some tried to cover his mouth; some beat him with the "dark beating" method. However, practitioner Mr. Du has never given in.

The evil forces have no means to deal with him. Mr. Du is dragged to be force-fed every day. He firmly resists, refuses to put on the prison clothes, refuses to go to the hospital, and refuses to be force fed. So almost every day the guards instruct the inmates to drag him out of his small cell and carry him out of the No.2 prison cell.

There is some distance from the No.2 prison cell to the prison hospital, so each day on the way to be force fed, Mr. Du struggles and shouts at the same time, "Falun Dafa is good! Restore the pureness of Falun Dafa! Restore the purity of my Master!" "Falun Dafa is good" His words reverberate throughout Tilanqiao Prison.

Mr. Du is 36 years old. He graduated from college, and his original home address is No.86, East Anding Road, North Street, Xifeng City, Gansu Province. On February 16, 2001, policeman from the Minghang District Police Department in Shanghai arrested him. On March 18, 2002, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Currently Mr. Du is detained in the No.2 prison cell in Tilanqiao Prison.

Falun Dafa is the righteous law! It will benefit every single live being.

In March 2005, practitioner Mr. Lan Bing was transferred from the No. 2 prison cell to the No. 3 prison cell. A No.3 prison cell guard said something disrespectful about Dafa. In response, Mr. Lan requested to see the prison team and warned the team that they should not allow the guard to do that. He also told them that it was against the prison law to make the prisoners do overtime labor and notified them to report this to the higher authorities. The No. 3 prison cell guards felt it was a headache to deal with such a practitioner as Mr. Lan, so they refused to keep him. Less than a month later, Mr. Lan was transferred to the No.6 prison cell, No.4 middle team.

In the No. 3 prison cell, the prisoners generally do printing. In the No. 6 prison cell, some prisoners do sewing and some make plush toys. In order to appease Mr. Lan, the policemen in No.6 prison cell make him add the eyes to the plush toys, claiming, "This is the most "relaxed" labor!" They also requested that he not promote Dafa while going about his "duties." Mr. Lan said righteously and sternly, "No! Falun Dafa is the righteous law! It will bring benefits to every single living being. Why not let people express their thoughts?"

Mr. Lan Bing was born on February 8, 1968. His original home address is Room 301, No. 15, No. 85 Nong, Xiangquan Road, Shanghai. After the Xuhui Police Department arrested him on October 8, 2001, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Since 1999, Mr. Lan had done Fa-rectification work silently in Shanghai. Because he was constantly monitored and harassed, Mr. Lan had no choice but to leave home and become homeless. The personnel in Shanghai knew from their many resources that there was a practitioner named Mr. Lan Bing. They put in much effort looking for him. After Mr. Lan was arrested, the policemen made every effort to make him renounce Falun Dafa. They prohibited him from going to sleep for 7 days and nights during the preliminary hearing period. They also kept a high intensity searchlight on at all times right above his head.

Mr. Lan is currently detained at the No.6 prison cell in Tilanqiao Prison. In order to maintain their beliefs, practitioners firmly resist and are steadfast without giving up.

Mr. Qu Yanlai, who graduated from the Energy Engineering Department at the Transportation and Energy University in Shanghai, is also in this prison. He has been on a hunger and water strike for over 750 days in order to protest his arrest and for the right to do the Dafa exercises. Practitioner Mr. Xiong Wenqi has been on hunger strike for over 600 days. He is extremely weak due to the torture and is currently in the hospital.

(1) "Dark beating" means that the beating causes injuries to the victim without leaving any obvious marks that can be seen.
