Despite Severe Symptoms of Illness Resulting from Torture, Ms. Yin Wenlan from Tieling, Liaoning Province Must Do Forced Labor

(Clearwisdom.net)

At around 4:00 p.m. on March 31, 2004, the police forced Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yin Wenlan to accompany them to the Tieling Railroad Police Department. Officers Yu Honghai and Wang Hongxing severely tortured her during the interrogations. They shocked her with an electric baton throughout the night. Ms. Yin suffered extreme mental and physical damage. She was then transferred to the Diaobingshan Detention Center and later to the Kaiyuan Detention Center, where she received a harsh, secret sentence. As a result of the torture, Ms. Yin developed symptoms of heart disease, high blood pressure, and cholecystitis. Hu Boqiang, the detention center physician, forced Ms. Yin to take a large amount of unknown drugs. The detention center officials tried to cover up her serious condition. Ma Jingbao, the deputy head of the detention center, sent her to Ward No. 4 of the Women's Prison in the Liaoning Provincial Prison Complex. After Ms. Yin took the unknown drugs, her condition deteriorated and she developed further complications in addition to suffering a partial loss of memory.

Two weeks later, officials of the Women's Prison sent her back to Kaiyuan. The leaders of the Kaiyuan Detention Center, however, refused to take her back. After a joint meeting of the Kaiyuan Police Department, the Kaiyuan Procuratorate, the Kaiyuan Court and the Kaiyuan Political and Judiciary Committee, a decision was reached to send her back to the Women's Prison. Ms. Yin Wenlan is currently being held in Ward No. 4 of the Women's Prison in the Liaoning Provincial Prison Complex. Although her condition is serious, she must do forced labor in the prison.

The hours of forced labor are from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with only 10 minutes allowed for each meal.

Telephone number of Ward No. 4: 86-24-89296872, 89296873; Yang Xin: Division Head.
