Ten Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioners Who Passed Away Due to the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Ye Yuzhen, a 65-year-old practitioner from Fuyang City, Zhejiang Province, had terminal lung cancer before she started practicing Falun Gong. She regained her health after she began to practice. On July 20, 1999, the vicious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began in China. In 2000, Ye Yuzhen went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. She was taken back to her hometown by the local police and was illegally detained for half a month. Later, she was transferred to the brainwashing center and was forced to attend brainwashing sessions. Since then, Ms. Ye was under constant surveillance and subjected to the threats and harassment from the government officials. She wasn't allowed to practice the Falun Gong exercises or study the Fa. Because of this, Ye Yuzhen suffered a relapse of her former illness and passed away in January 2005.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Santuan, from Luoyang City, Henan Province, was in her 60s. After she started to practice Falun Gong in 1997, all her old illnesses, including diabetes, were gone. Since the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began on July 20, 1999, she was constantly harassed and threatened by the local police and members of her work unit. She suffered a relapse of her illnesses and passed away in 2004.

Sixty-three-year-old practitioner Ms. Ma Yunhua was from Zhangdazhuang Village, Meichang Township, Wuqing District, Tianjin City. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1998 and benefited a lot from it both physically and mentally. She was in good health. After the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began, Ms. Ma went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and to validate Dafa. She was unlawfully arrested and detained three times, and her home was illegally searched. Ms. Ma suffered severe physical and psychological torment and passed away in May 2004.

Ms. Wang Yuzhan was a 64-year-old practitioner from Nanyang City, Henan Province. She was persecuted for a long time because she practiced Falun Gong. She suffered physical and psychological torment and passed away on May 14, 2005.

Eighty-three-year-old practitioner Mr. Wang Hongtu was from Laizhou City, Shandong Province. He took up the practice of Falun Gong in 1996. In 2001, his daughter, also a practitioner, was illegally arrested and sentenced to 4 years in prison. Since then, Wang Hongtu was often harassed and threatened by the local police. Additionally, he missed his daughter. He passed away on May 12, 2004.

Mr. Chen Yulin was a 77-year-old practitioner from Chengde City, Hebei Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1998 and regained his health. All of his old illnesses disappeared. After July 20, 1999, due to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Chen suffered a relapse and passed away in June 2001.

Seventy-one-year-old practitioner Ms. Liu Shuqin was from Xinglong County, Hebei Province. After she started to practice Falun Gong, all her illnesses went away. After the persecution began, she lost her practice environment. On January 17, 2005, Ms. Liu passed away from a sudden brain hemorrhage.

Ms. Zhang Shulan was a 64-year-old practitioner from Xinglong County, Hebei Province. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. Her illnesses, including heart disease and inflammation of the gallbladder, all vanished. On July 20, 1999, Ms. Zhang went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. After she returned home, she was harassed and threatened by officers from the Xinglong County National Security Brigade. In 2003, Ms. Zhang suffered a relapse of her previous illnesses and passed away.

Practitioner Mr. Xiang Ziji was a 65-year-old retiree from the Anjiang Textile Factory in Hunan Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. His relatives were persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. Additionally, he himself was often harassed by government officials. He lived in constant terror and passed away in June 2002.

Sixty-eight-year-old practitioner Mr. Bai Ling was from Bozhou City, Anhui Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 2004 and suffered persecution. At the end of December 2004, Mr. Bai's strength declined due to cancer, and he passed away.
