Cancer Patient Recovers in Four Days After Learning the Truth about Falun Dafa and Becoming a Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Gao Dongqing. I found out that I had late-stage esophageal cancer on February 28, 2005 (Chinese lunar calendar). The doctor told me that I would only live for a few months, even with surgery. After it happened, my wife asked me to practice Falun Dafa. In only four days after I started practicing Falun Dafa, I had almost completely recovered. Master Li saved me from death and gave me a second life. I cannot use any language to express my gratitude to Master.

I had been deceived by the lies of the Chinese Communist Party. When my family told me the truth about the persecution, I neither listened to it nor believed it. Moreover, I did bad things in disparaging Falun Gong and Master. I believed what I heard from the television, and thought that the state-owned television stations and newspapers would never lie and deceive the public. But my own experiences finally woke me up!

I am from Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province, and I am 57 years old. Starting last December (Chinese lunar calendar), I felt uncomfortable when swallowing food. I thought I had pharyngitis. But after the Spring Festival, it was even worse. When I swallowed something, I had to spit it out immediately. I became emaciated day by day. On April 6, 2005, my wife went with me to the Puji Hospital for an examination. The examination showed that I had late-stage esophageal cancer. The doctor told my wife that this cancer is hard to cure and even if I had an operation, I would only live for a few months.

After we left the hospital, my wife said to me, "Our path as humans is nearing the end. Let us walk the path of a God. Let us go back home and start to practice Falun Gong."

My wife is a Falun Gong practitioner. From July 20, 1999 onwards, the television programs unceasingly accused Falun Gong practitioners of killing people and of committing self-immolation. I believed the lies from the television and opposed Falun Dafa. I did not allow my wife to practice Dafa and I also continuously caused her trouble.

In the autumn of 2003, my wife was arrested by the local police station. Although she was released in the evening, the whole family was badly frightened. I directed my anger at my wife. I started to slander Dafa and Master, and I also burned my wife's priceless Dafa books. At that time, I did not understand or believe that Dafa is the Law of Heaven and I did not believe the rule of karmic retribution. Not until I had cancer did I start to think that maybe my illness was retribution for my disrespect toward Dafa.

My wife persuaded me to study the Fa. She said, "Only Master can save you. As long as you believe in Master and follow the standard of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, Master will help you. You will still have hope." I thought that my situation was already so hopeless, but I decided to try it rather than wait to die. As long as Master considers me as a disciple, I will practice Dafa.

Then I started to take the initiative to learn the truth about the persecution. After I understood the truth, it strengthened my confidence in practicing Dafa.

My wife said, "Since you even burned the books and slandered Master, you have committed a very severe sin. If you want to practice Falun Gong, you must acknowledge your mistakes to Master." That evening, I knelt down in front of Master's picture and confessed deeply.

The next day, I spit even worse than before. I spit out a lot of sticky froth. My wife told me that Master had started purifying my body. During the fourth night, I had a dream that someone hit my back heavily using a club. The pain woke me up. My chest felt very painful. I put on my clothes, sat up and started to recite, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." After about ten minutes, the pain disappeared and my body felt relaxed.

The following day, March 2 (lunar calendar), a miracle happened. I ate five eggs and did not feel any pain when swallowing. I had recovered! March 6 was market day. I brought my tools to the market to repair shoes. Because of my illness, I had not gone to the market to earn money for more than two months.

I, a cancer patient, who was told by a doctor that he was going to die, completely recovered in four days after practicing Falun Gong. It really is a miracle! Dafa and Master saved me from death and gave me a second life.
