Facts of the Persecution

On March 22, 2005, practitioner Zhou Liansheng was dragged to the prison meeting room and handcuffed to a heating pipe by inmates Li Zhaoshan, Wu Changyun, and Li Chuang. Guard Cheng Hongbo, who was present at the time said, "He needs a good lesson," and left. The criminals then beat Mr. Zhou, causing his mouth to bleed profusely. He also suffered from pains in his left ribs and breathing difficulties. Guard Chen Xin arrived, and slapped and kicked Mr. Zhou, then forced him to stand. In September 2004, practitioner Yun Qingbin was forced to sign a repentance statement and was sent to the hospital due to extreme weakness. Before he recovered, he was sent to a "special team" to be further persecuted. On April 12, 2005, Mr. Yun was sent to be "transformed" once again. He refused to give up Dafa cultivation and was sent to the "special team" again.

On Saturday, May 14, 2005, officers from the 610 Office in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Province plotted to arrest practitioners by setting up a display board that attacked Dafa and Teacher Li on the crowded Fuxing Street. About ten practitioners heard the news and went to send forth righteous thoughts in front of the display board.

One of the practitioners, Zhang Wenjuan, was arrested. She was illegally detained in the police station, and her house was ransacked.

On May 16, practitioners Zhang Xiaoping and Shen Dongmei were arrested at their beauty salon. Both women had been persecuted previously at Ningxia Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. He Xianggu, 44, a nurse at the Hunan Province Women and Children's Hospital, was abducted by officers from the Duzheng Street Police Station in Furong District of Changsha City, when she was near Dingwangtai in Changsha City on the afternoon of April 21, 2005. The police sent her to Zhuzhou Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp to be persecuted. Hunan Province Women and Children's Hospital collaborated with the police on this matter.

It was learned that Ms. He is currently on a hunger strike, protesting the illegal detention, and is being abused. The Women and Children's Hospital previously sent Ms. He to the Hunan Province Psychiatric Hospital to be persecuted because of her steadfast belief in Dafa after the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Later she was twice sent to Zhuzhou Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp. Both times, she went on a hunger strike and escaped using her righteous thoughts.

On May 1, 2005, the 610 Office and the police department in Junan County, Shandong Province sent about five vehicles and with scores of police officers to practitioners' homes in Tugo Village, Shizilu Town, Junan County. They broke into and ransacked five homes. The homes belonged to Chen Xinxia, Xiao Mingxia, Sun Li, Yan Xia, and Zhao Erhua. Chen Xinxia and Xiao Mingxia were arrested.
