Former Leukemia Patient Sends his Thanks to Falun Gong Founder

(Clearwisdom.net) A year ago, I was receiving chemotherapy for leukemia. My family members were all so upset, they must have cried countless times for me.

One day a Falun Gong practitioner that I used to know came by and suggested that I practice Falun Gong again. I had started practicing Falun Gong before 1999, but because I did not study the Falun Dafa teachings well enough, and due to my various attachments, I stopped practicing when the persecution started. I said to him, "It is too late for me to study anything. I have already been sentenced to death." He brought over Teacher's new articles and said, "Perhaps these can change you." I was moved by the fact that this practitioner had traveled thousands of miles to see me, so I thought that I should definitely read the articles. Still, I lacked the confidence that Teacher would still take me as his disciple.

Starting that day, I sat on the bed, leaning against the head board, and read Teacher's articles. I could only read a little before I had to lie down and rest. In this way I completed reading Teacher's articles in one week. I found out from the readings that during those years that I had stopped practicing, Teacher's lectures had been so broad and profound! I was determined to copy down the articles. I asked my mother to help me sit down in front of the table, and I carefully started to copy the articles character by character. My mother looked at me and cried. She thought, how long do you have left to live, yet you are putting yourself through this. When I was copying Teacher's articles, I felt my body relax. I was so happy. I knew that our benevolent Teacher was taking care of me once again!

Over a period of fifteen days, the edema that had inflicted my entire body gradually vanished, and the hard lumps on my liver reduced. My health improved daily, and I no longer needed the aid of another person to walk. I went to the hospital to take a blood test. The test results showed that my reading was almost normal. My family members witnessed these incredible changes with surprise. They said that it was a miracle! My personal experience has added to the testament of Dafa's power.

When the practitioner came to see me again and witnessed my amazing transformation, she was moved, and said, "Teacher does not want to leave behind any disciple. As practitioners, we should not let down Teacher's benevolent salvation." I remembered her words in my heart. I read the Fa and practiced the Falun Gong exercises every day. I stopped taking medicine, and I felt better than when I took it. Now I can walk two or three miles without feeling tired. I can wash clothes, cook food and do all the normal day to day things. I was once a medical patient who had completely lost the ability to take care of myself and depended on other people's help. It is Falun Dafa that took away my illness and gave me a second life. Now I am sharing my personal experience in order to validate Falun Dafa and save more sentient beings.

Using my personal experience to show the world the truth about Falun Dafa

When I starting clarifying the truth to people, I did not have any experience. I did not know how to broach the subject of Falun Gong during conservation, and sometimes I said a lot but people felt nothing. I was very worried. One day on the train I ran into an acquaintance who said, "You look much better. You no longer look at all like a sick person." I said that my blood tests were now normal. She was surprised, "It is really a miracle! I was told that you were on death's door." I told her what happened after I started practicing Falun Gong, recounting how my health had recovered day by day. She commented, "Doesn't the government forbid people from practicing Falun Gong?" I told her, "The Tiananmen self-immolation was an attempt to frame Falun Gong. Jiang Zemin abused his authority and spread rumors against Falun Gong. He used all the nation's resources to persecute and suppress Falun Gong. Falun Gong's teaching asks practitioners to follow "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." We cultivate our hearts and value virtue, in order to become better people and attain the righteous enlightenment of selflessness and altruism. I said that Falun Gong is now practiced in more than 60 countries... My friend said that today's society is all wrong; good people are punished, and bad people are allowed to commit bad deeds everywhere. As we talked, many people who were sitting nearby listened in.

The experience I just described was the first time I discarded the notion that it is hard to clarify the truth. People in the world are waiting for practitioners to save them, so I realize that I must do well and let more people know the facts.

I hope that other practitioners who have lost their path can learn some lessons from my experience and remove all attachments and return to practicing Falun Dafa. I hope practitioners who have returned will study the Fa diligently and do well on the three things requested by Teacher, to catch up with the progress of Fa-rectification. Let us firmly keep in our minds Teacher's words,
