Mr. Pan Hongdong Was Recently Tortured to Death in Tailai Prison, Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Pan Hongdong, who was living in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province, was tortured to death in Tailai Prison on May 15, 2005. His body was covered with scars and wounds; there were bloodstains near his mouth, ears, and nose; there was a round scar on his chest; and there were obvious bloodstains on his legs and back.

Mr. Pan Hongdong, 37 years old, was a Dafa practitioner from Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province. His hometown is Changtu County, Liaoning Province. Pan Hongdong was arrested by officers from the Xingongdi Police Station of Qiqihar on September 4, 2001. Policemen in the Tiefeng Criminal Police Squad brutally tortured him using various means, including shocking his genitals with an electric baton. He was tortured beyond recognition.

It was reported that from July to September 2001, there were many Dafa practitioners arrested by the Tiefeng Criminal Police Squad and Xingongdi Police Station in Qiqihar. The practitioners were continuously beaten for two days, without being allowed to eat or drink water. Two practitioners were hung up with their hands twisted behind their back and handcuffed. The handcuffs cut into their flesh, causing deep wounds that bled; their upper arms turned dark blue and went limp.

Later, Pan Hongdong was sent to the 2nd Detention Center of Qiqihar. At the end of 2002, he was illegally sentenced to prison with a 10-year sentence. After the 2003 Chinese New Year, Mr. Pan was sent to Tailai Prison in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province.

Tailai Prison has been brutally persecuting Dafa practitioners since 2001. The practitioners are tortured inhumanly there. The prison guards block any information about the abuses in prison from leaking out. When the practitioners' families come to visit them, there are 2-4 guards monitoring the conversation, and their conversations are recorded in order to keep the practitioners from divulging information about the torture of Dafa practitioners in the prison. The following guards are the most vicious: Zhang Weijia, Wang Zhiling, Qiao Ping, and Cui Li. They torture the steadfast Dafa practitioners with many methods, including whipping practitioners with belts; sleep deprivation; detaining them in a small cell; tying them to a cross frame; beating; smf twisting the practitioners' hands behind their back and hanging them up.

The guards also hang the practitioners up by four separate ropes attached to each arm and leg, with the body facing down; then they put some blocks under the practitioner's breastbone; this torture is similar to the "five horses splitting the body" torture. The guards also put an ironing board under the baking sun, then they put Dafa practitioners onto the board, causing many blisters on the practitioners' bodies; after that, the guards pour cold water on the practitioners, which causes even more pain and shock to the body.
