Several Falun Dafa practitioners from Chuanying District, Jilin City, have been taken to a brainwashing center at the "guest house" of the Chunguang Dairy Company in Jilin City. Many steadfast Dafa practitioners went on a hunger strike to resist the illegal detention and persecution by the lawless officials. As far as we know, the situation is very urgent because several practitioners have had nothing to eat or drink for days.

Two days ago, a doctor was called to the brainwashing center. After arriving at the scene, the doctor realized his job was to provide an intravenous drip to those practitioners whose lives were in danger from not taking any food or water for many days. Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Ying from Changchun Road, a neighborhood of Chuanying District, is confirmed to be one of the practitioners currently on a hunger strike.

Since July 20, 1999, the lawless Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials of the Chuanying District, Jilin City have continuously persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. In September of 1999, CCP officials set up their first brainwashing center in Jilin City, Chuanying District at the Xingsheng Inn. Since then, at least twelve Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed as being tortured to death in Chuanying District, including Yu Lixin, Cui Zhengshu, Li Zaiji, Liu Mingke, Wang Xiufen, Cui Zhongxuan, Liu Yuzhu, Xia Guiqin, Yu Chunhai, Wang Lixin, Jin Huili, Hou Mingkai and Qu Junli. Many practitioners have been given severe sentences and numerous others have been sent to forced labor camps and brainwashing centers.

In May of 2005, Zhang Xiaolan (female), the Deputy Party Secretary of the Chuanying District Party Committee, Wang Hongtu, the Party Secretary of the District Political and Judiciary Committee, Wang Hongjia, the Deputy Secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee, and also concurrently the Director of the 610 Office, Pang Jiang, the Director of the District Justice Bureau and other CCP officials collaborated with Qu Jiang, the General Manager of the Chunguang Dairy Pty Ltd., to reach an agreement for turning the company guest house into a brainwashing center for persecuting Falun Gong. In return, the company would receive benefits from the above-mentioned organizations. Each brainwashing class lasts for two months. Several collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] assisted in the brainwashing, including Zhu Jiahui from Changchun (86-13154357536 (cell)) and three women surnamed Wang, Zhao and Fan respectively.

The ruthless officials then instructed the policemen and police sub-stations from the neighborhood committee to arrest a number of Falun Dafa practitioners. They locked practitioners into the Chunguang Dairy Company guesthouse in an attempt to brainwash them and force them to give up their belief in Dafa. Each practitioner is overseen by two people from the brainwashing center, and practitioners are not allowed to contact anyone. They are even followed when going to the toilet.

The perpetrators use former practitioners who have turned against Dafa to try to confuse the steadfast practitioners. Whenever a Falun Gong practitioner first arrives, several collaborators surround the practitioner and forbid him or her to speak. They speak nonsense about Falun Gong from time to time. Officials at the brainwashing center would often cut in and slander Dafa, spreading their poisonous lies. Bit by bit they work to lead the practitioners along their train of thought and entrap the practitioners. Practitioners Ms. Yu Shuchen (86-432-2013806 (Home)) and Ms. Li Yulian (86-432-2058776 (Home)) compromised with the evil against their own will. In order to cover up their crimes, the persecutors collaborated with General Manager Qu Jiang to trick the visiting families of practitioners. Qu Jiang would appear to be a very kind person, offering the practitioners fresh milk produced by the company and entertaining the visiting families, all the while trying to cover up the persecution.

Over the past few years, the lawless officials of the Chuanying District Party Committee have always listed the persecution of Falun Gong as their number one priority. They have even made falsified reports to the city and provincial Party Committees to exaggerate their achievements. They claimed that the district has successfully "transformed" 80 percent of the Falun Gong practitioners under its jurisdiction; however the fact is that many more Falun Gong practitioners are still steadfast in their cultivation.
