Three Practitioners from Hubei and Anhui Provinces Missing Since 2001

Practitioner Mr. Yu Jianhua Disappeared in 2001

Mr. Yu Jianhua, 63 years of age, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Qiting Township, Macheng City in Hubei Province. Local police have illegally arrested him several times since July 20, 1999. They deprived him of food for three days, stripped him, and hung him up and beat him. The last time, in December 2000, he was arrested and detained in the Macheng City First Detention Center. Five months later the police extorted 2000 yuan from his family after the Shizishan Forced Labor Camp refused to accept him for health reasons. After he returned home, the local police frequently went there to harass him. Under such huge pressure, Yu Jianhua had to leave home on August 23, 2001. No one currently knows his whereabouts.

Mr. Du Shangwu and Mr. Zhao Shouhong from Anhui Province Have Disappeared for Several Years

Mr. Du Shangbing, 32 years of age in 2001, was a policeman from the Suixi County Police Department in Anhui Province. Officers of the Beijing City Police Department arrested him when he displayed a Falun Dafa banner in Tiananmen Square on September 24, 2001.

Mr. Zhao Shouhong, a policeman from the Yingzhou Police Department of Fuyang City in Anhui Province, was arrested by Beijing City Police Department officers when he was distributing Falun Gong truth clarifying materials with a fellow practitioner in Tiananmen Square on November 7, 2001.

Neither Du Shangbing nor Zhao Shouhong have been heard from since, and no one knows their whereabouts.
