(Clearwisdom.net) Since last summer, Falun Gong practitioners have been holding anti-torture exhibits on the streets of Manhattan to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution against practitioners in China. It has been almost one full year since we started last summer. Practitioners in Manhattan have put away their winter clothing and put on their summer attire. We may have changed our clothing, but our determination to clarify the truth about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong remains unchanged. We continue to distribute truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong.

Falun Gong Practitioners from Taiwan

One group of practitioners after another have come from Taiwan to support the anti-torture exhibits in Manhattan. Some of them could stay for only a week, so they flew half way across the globe just to help with the cause for a week. Some of them were able to stay for a month. Some of them have again come to Manhattan after returning to Taiwan. Some of them never left and have repeatedly extended their visitors' visas. Taiwan practitioners are usually the first group of practitioners to arrive at the anti-torture exhibit and the last to leave. They rarely go to a restaurant and seem to carry homemade lunches with them everywhere they go.

"Please Sign"

A Taiwan practitioner named Yunxia could not speak a single word of English. At first, she only distributed truth-clarification materials. Later she saw fellow practitioners who asked passersby to sign a petition form, and she decided to help collect signatures as well. Each time a passerby took a copy of truth-clarification material from her, Yunxia would present the signature form and say, "Please sign." I have repeatedly witnessed people signing the petition without asking her any questions. Her pure heart and dedication to saving sentient beings must be the reason behind this amazing phenomenon.

Tears of a Musician

An American musician came to our anti-torture exhibit and asked me many questions. Finally he asked, "Is this working? Do you really believe that this will deter the CCP's persecution against Falun Gong practitioners?" "Of course it will," I replied. "The CCP is really afraid of our anti-torture exhibits. When I first joined this anti-torture exhibit, I found someone following me home. During the night someone poured ketchup on my car as a threat. This means they are afraid of our cause, because all criminals fear the public exposure of their crimes." The musician asked me, "Aren't you afraid of them?" I looked in his eyes and replied sincerely, "If I were afraid of them, I wouldn't be standing here today. I will never sit idly at home while they are persecuting my fellow practitioners."

His eyes were suddenly brimming with tears. He shook my hand firmly and told me that he would come back in half an hour. When he came, he brought us two music CDs and told us they were his compositions. One of the tracks is entitled, "Anti-Torture Exhibit." He told us that it might be useful for our cause. I invited him to perform at our benefit concert to rescue Falun Gong practitioners' children that have become orphans, and he accepted the invitation.

The days in Manhattan may appear to be ordinary, but they are actually filled with sparkles of hope and the glory of humanity. Practitioners' hard work and dedication have been very fruitful. Countless lives have learned the truth of Falun Gong. Countless lives have signed the petition to support Falun Gong.
