Lessons from My Attachment to Time

I am recalling that the difficulties and hardships I have encountered during the past few years were caused by my attachments and human heart.

In 2001, when we read the article "Deciphering the Last Three Stanzas of the Plum Blossom Poem," our human hearts hoped that the spring of 2002 would arrive quickly, that Teacher would soon return to Mainland China, and that the time of Fa rectification of the human world would arrive, so that the evil persecution could end. I genuinely expected the days to pass quickly. By my thinking this way, the evil found a chance to persecute me. Before October 1, I was arrested, although with righteous thoughts, I was able to break through it. Yet my attachments still remained.

The spring of 2002 arrived and quickly passed, so I looked forward to the coming of July 20, which I thought would be the day the persecution would end. With my human thoughts I was sure that the persecution would be over within three years. On July 22, I was suddenly abducted again and taken to a brainwashing center, which was managed by the city's 610 Office to cruelly persecute practitioners. I surrendered to the authorities and gave the evil a gap from which to persecute practitioners. With a similar trick, they persecuted over ten practitioners.

Under Teacher's protection and mercy, and after being "lost" for six months, I understood what I had done wrong, found my way back to the right track, and got back up.

Finally I am walking steadily on my path as the Fa rectification enters a new period. It is most important and urgent to save the people who are confused by the culture created by the Communist Party, but our uneven and anxious human hearts are evidence that we are still attached to time. We can't study the Fa without calm hearts nor clarify the truth without patience. Demons easily exploit our attachment to time.

Haven't we yet learned our lesson from being so attached to time? We should not have that attachment in any situation. Everywhere and at all times we must regard the Fa as Teacher. We must do what Teacher has requested and let the Fa be our standard. Our minds must be rational and our consciousness must be strong. With righteous thoughts, we act righteously, so that we can walk the righteous way.
