Washington State: Falun Dafa Unfolds Extraordinary Splendor in San Juan Islands Fourth of July Parade (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 4, Independence Day in the U.S., Falun Gong practitioners participated in a parade held in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. Practitioners from Washington State and Oregon worked together to present the colorful Chinese culture to the more than 10,000 local residents and tourists.

Our procession included a float decorated with a 6-foot-high lotus flower, a drum troupe, a lion dance and an exercise demonstration group. This was our first year in this parade, and our appearance received warm admiration. Spectators joyfully shouted names of practitioners in the procession whom they knew. They were surprisingly happy upon seeing the beauty and sacredness manifested by practitioners' procession. The big float was designed and decorated by practitioners in the San Juan Islands. It was also one of the floats that received the highest praise.

It was only more than a year ago that a young man in the San Juan Island found information about Falun Dafa from internet. Since then, he started studying Falun Dafa on his own. Shortly after, his family members and friends realized the significance of his learning and practicing Falun Dafa. Today on the island, there is an expanding group of practitioners. They often collaborate with fellow practitioners from other areas in Washington State and Oregon to introduce Dafa in the islands.
