(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Yajuan, was from Jincheng Township, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. Township CCP Director Liu Guoping (male), hired local villains who tortured her using freezing, beating, and insults, etc. During the past several years of constant harassment and threats, her physical condition worsened, and she died on April 19, 2005.

Ms. Yang Yajuan was 36 years old, and lived in Dasantun, Shengping Village, Jincheng Township, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. Before she obtained the Fa in the fall of 1998, she had a stomach disease, gynecological disease, and chronic headaches. All of her illnesses disappeared after she started cultivating Falun Dafa. Her whole family practiced Falun Dafa, and the villagers all said that they were good people who follow the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted Falun Gong since July 20, 1999. Village Leaders Yu Zhanguo (male) and Qi Zhenquan (male) often harassed Ms. Yang Yajuan, making her life miserable, so she could not calmly practice. In November 2000, Ms. Yang Yajuan went to Beijing to appeal, and was arrested upon returning home by Luo Yanbing (gender unknown) of the Township 610 Office, and detained 45 days at the Shuangcheng City Detention Center. During her detention, Ms. Yang Yajuan was unconscious for two days, but prison guards ignored her condition. She was cared for by two fellow practitioners, Ms. Huang Yanzhen and Ms. Xiao Yali, and a prisoner, Ms. Xia Zunfang.

After her 45 day detention, on January 17, 2001, Liu Guoping and Luo Yanbing, from the Jincheng Township 610 Office, sent her to a brainwashing class held in the Township Senior Citizen's Center. She was forcibly subjected to the brainwashing session for 27 days. During that time, Liu Guoping hired local villains Niu Wen (male) and his brothers to keep Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Yang Yajuan and Ms. Zhang Shufen out in the bitter winter weather, and to beat and insult them. These villains said they were instructed to do this by Liu Guoping. The families of these two practitioners exposed the persecution facts to Liu Guoping face to face. The villains finally stopped the tortures. Liu Guopin extorted 4,800 yuan from Ms. Yang's family, without providing a receipt, before releasing her.

When Ms. Yang Yajuan returned home on February 13, 2001, Village leaders assigned Yu Zhanli (male), and others to closely watch her. Township official Luo Yanbing often harassed her, and interfered with her study of the Fa and practice of the exercises, especially during sensitive dates. In December 2004, Ms. Yang Yajuan's husband (also a practitioner) was reported to the police, and arrested by Jincheng Township Policemen (directed by CCP Secretary Gao). This caused Ms. Yang's physical condition to become very severe. She became thinner and thinner, and died on April 19, 2005.
