A Westerner's Understandings on Breaking from the CCP

Recently I had a discussion with a fellow practitioner on the current situation of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials breaking from the CCP, and how Fa-rectification Dafa disciples should look at these issues.

When discussing from what standpoint practitioners should be at when helping people like Chen Yonglin, Hao Fengjun, and Han Guangsheng gain asylum status and protection visas, we found two common perspectives. Some practitioners feel we should help these officials because they are breaking from the CCP, and other practitioners understand that we help them because they decided to stop participating in the persecution against Dafa. Though this may seem trivial and even one in the same, when we look closer, we find that these are two different points of view. For practitioners, it is crucial that we view this from the perspective of the Fa, as everything of ours comes from the Fa. If we are off in our understanding, even by a little bit, this could have a negative effect on our Fa-rectification projects, and on our righteous thoughts and righteous actions.

The CCP has done a lot of bad things in history, but if it didn't persecute Falun Gong, it would not have anything directly to do with us, and could perhaps be saved. Since it chose to persecute Falun Gong, it is doomed to be destroyed by gods and people associated will be eliminated along with it. Our fundamental purpose in helping people like Chen Yonglin, Hao Fengjun, and Han Guangsheng is to save them; our fundamental purpose is not to destroy the CCP, it is that the CCP has chosen destruction. Helping people renounce the CCP and read the Nine Commentaries is also to help save them by breaking from that which will be eliminated in the Fa-rectification, but breaking from the CCP alone may not be enough to save a being.

If someone renounces the CCP, but continues to take part in the persecution of Dafa, then this being is still bound for destruction. If they can change their attitude towards Dafa though, this is what fundamentally will save them in the Fa-rectification. As Fa-rectification Dafa disciples, we must be clearheaded on this point when looking at the current situation of saving sentient beings.
