Taidong, Taiwan: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Taiping Veterans' Home (Photos)

On July 7, 2005, more than a dozen Falun Gong practitioners from Taidong were invited to the Taiping Veterans' Home to visit the older people and staff. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises, and briefly introduced the facts about Falun Dafa's spread to 78 countries and regions around the world, and how more than 100 million people have benefited from the practice both physically and mentally. The practitioners also explained the facts of the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners over the past six years.

At 9:00 a.m. many residents and staff arrived to participate; some were sitting in wheelchairs or leaning on crutches. Practitioners displayed several truth clarification photo boards illustrating the popularity of Falun Dafa and the persecution in China, which attracted many people's attention.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises on the stage to display the beauty of Falun Dafa, and also played a video of the exercise instructions along with interesting supplementary material. When demonstrating the exercises, many older people spontaneously imitated the movements. While teaching the exercises, older people, directors and staff all learned attentively and many inquired about how to continue practicing in the future. The atmosphere was full of harmony.

Practitioners prepared 100 handmade golden lotus flowers tied with bookmarks carrying the words, "Falun Dafa is Good." Many people requested this precious gift and fondled it admiringly. After the activity concluded, the director, the residents and the staff kept thanking the practitioners for bringing the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa to them. The practitioners all felt that our visit was successful.
