A Former Leukemia Patient Obtained Dafa Recently: "Respected Teacher Has Given Me a Second Chance in Life"

(Clearwisdom.net) In July 2003, I had stomach pain and discomfort so I went for a checkup at the hospital. The result was that my white blood cell count was eight times higher than normal people. When I went to another hospital for a check up, I was diagnosed as having leukemia. Suddenly, my whole family was hit by lightning and the shadow of death crept into my heart.

My family took me everywhere in search of cures through Eastern and Western medicine. I took numerous medicines, travelled extensively and spent a lot of money. However, I did not receive any results. Due to a large medicine intake, there were a lot of side effects, which later resulted in the hardening of my bone marrow (decreased blood production).

When I was first diagnosed with this disease, my younger sister who practices Falun Gong came to visit me and wanted to introduce me to the practice of Falun Gong. However, due to the deeply instilled communist party culture and due to their anti-Falun Gong propaganda, I did not believe that practicing would help me at all because I had a disease that cannot be cured anywhere in the world. Furthermore, the Chinese Government did not allow us to practice. My sister tried to persuade me numerous times, and finally I reluctantly said I would try. I practiced the exercises while at the same time I continued to take medicine. At that time, practicing the Falun Gong exercises was simply like doing regular physical exercises, and nothing I read in the book (Zhuan Falun) was sinking in.

For the past two years, I have had to drink two bowls of bitter medicine, take tablets, capsules and various health products. After taking the medicine, I would have stomach pains, diarrhea and I would excrete blood. When I really could not stand it, I would stop the medicine. As soon as I stopped, these symptoms would disappear and then I would continue taking the medicine. This year in February, my illness became worse and I had to undergo chemotherapy for the second time. Afterwards, I had no energy at all and I did not want to eat or drink. I became skinnier and skinnier and developed skin allergies. Over the course of just nine days, I spent more than 5,000 yuan on treatments. Within two years, I spent more than the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of dollars, causing immense financial difficulties for my family.

In order to survive, I continued to force myself to drink the bitter medicines. One day, as I was holding the medicine bowl, I thought: I have to suffer like this, as well as spend so much money; when will there be an end. In the end, wouldn't I be the same as other patients who die and spend all their money in the process? I am going to die anyway so there is no point in drinking medicine anymore.

At this time, I remembered Zhuan Falun. So I picked up the book and studied it properly and slowly took my time to understand each sentence in the book. When I read what Teacher said in the second lecture, "Nothing but cultivation can make you feel great, be free of sickness, and bring you true liberation!" I suddenly understood. If I want to be healthy, cultivation is my only choice.

Later my younger sister brought me the book, Second Life. I was extremely moved by the true stories of people having a second chance in life after practicing Falun Gong. A few days after studying the book, my stomach pains and diarrhea appeared again. Every half-hour, I would excrete black feces containing blood. My children quickly gave me medicine and I had injections but nothing helped. Due to going to the toilet an excessive number of times during the day, my family thought I might have a life-threatening situation so they took me to the hospital. In the end, the hospital checkup concluded that everything was normal.

After having diarrhea for six days (four days quite severely, the next two days less severely), I not only was not dehydrated, I also had no pain, and I felt more relaxed. This is when I realized that Teacher was helping me to purify my body. After enlightening to this, I got rid of the rest of my medicines and other health products. Now, I have truly experienced what it is like to have no illnesses and to feel light all over the body. This kind of feeling cannot be expressed with words.

It is Teacher who has given me a second chance in life. He saved me and my whole family. I feel extremely grateful and can only repay Teacher's salvation by my actions. Every day, I will follow Teacher's requirements and do well the three things that practitioners need to do.

Here, I would also like to use my personal experiences to tell those people who are deceived by former president Jiang Zemin and the communist regime, that Falun Dafa is good and Falun Dafa is righteous. It can help people gain better health and improve the moral standard of society. I want to tell those patients fighting on the verge of death, that only by truly believing in Falun Dafa and following "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" can they have another chance in life. I also want to tell the police who are following the Jiang regime and persecuting Falun Dafa, that Dafa practitioners are all good people. For the sake of your future and your family's future, treat practitioners with kindness.
