Exposing More Atrocities in the Liaoning Province Women's Prison

Inside the Liaoning Province Women's Prison, Falun Gong practitioners have been brainwashed, beaten, deprived of sleep, among other forms of abuse. Here I would like to expose the persecution in order to restrain the evil.

The prison has ten detention areas plus a hospital. Each area detains about 25 to 35 Falun Dafa practitioners. The hospital also detains some practitioners, which includes those who have gone on hunger strikes for a long time and are there to receive punitive force-feeding.

Police officers use detainees as a source of income. Detainees are forced to work 16 to 20 hours a day with no breaks. Even eating and using the toilet needs to be done quickly. Times of using the toilet are limited, and bowl washing is prohibited. Due to the extremely heavy workload, detainees often faint at the work site. As long as a practitioner is alive, they are forced to work these long hours.

Police officers also force detainees to buy expired food and other things. Sometimes at such forced shopping trips, police officers will steal 50 to 100 yuan from each person. Detainees are also forced to donate money. Such large-scale donations happen three times a year.

Police officers and group leaders do not take responsibility if they torture detainees to death. They tightly monitor every person's output. For printing jobs, one is required to finish 8,000 to 10,000 pieces a day. Some detained women get tuberculosis, but still have to work. Officers make a lot of money from the detainees. For each newly detained Falun Gong practitioner, they arrange two criminals to monitor, brainwash and torture them. Police officers promise to reduce the criminals' terms in exchange for their help in reforming practitioners. If a practitioner does not yield, the two monitoring criminals would torture that practitioner more cruelly.

The prison hospital has detained many practitioners. One practitioner from the 5th area went on a hunger strike for over a year. She was bound to a bed in the hospital and was very weak, but the police officers kept on cursing her and repeatedly replaced the force-feeding tubes to abuse her. However, that practitioner still clarified the truth with strong righteous thoughts or shouted: "Falun Dafa Is good!"

One practitioner from Anshan City got a broken hip, and she went on a hunger strike with another practitioner to protest the persecution. Their courage and righteous thoughts earned respect even from some of the criminals. Still, they suffered long term torture, such as being beaten, having their heads bounced off walls, being locked up in the bathroom, having cold water poured on them, being pricked by needles, etc.

Criminal Liu Lixin monitored practitioners and reported their every move to police officers to curry favor. She brainwashed practitioners by reading materials that defame Falun Dafa. She also recorded her readings on tape and played them repeatedly. She is very cruel and tortured practitioners in various ways. She would beat practitioners when she found they were not looking at the slanderous material. She pricked one practitioner's head with needles, causing bleeding from the practitioners' ears. She frequently pushed and pulled practitioners, knocking them to the ground. She was known as the "great evil person" around the hospital. Liu's torture caused some practitioners to suffer a mental collapse. Police officers also injected drugs into practitioners' bodies, causing great harm or even death. They have done everything they could to cover up the truth and hide it from the family members.

Practitioner Fang Huiyun has refused to cooperate with the persecution. Police officer Li Xi coerced criminals Su Li and others to torture her. They beat her in the shop, in the bathroom, in the halls, and would not allow her to sleep. Su would beat or curse Fang when she used the bathroom or washed her face. When she was knocked down to the ground, Su Li would step on her. Fang suffered heavy injuries from the beatings, and reported the issue to group leader Li Xi. Instead of stopping the beatings, Li Xi asked another criminal, Diao Chunyan, if she had seen the beating. Diao said "No." So Su Li told Fang, "Don't you know Li Xi already knows all this. She lets me knock you down." Su Li's tortures caused one of Fang's thighbones to break and now she is disabled. Brigade leaders have even praised Su Li for her cruelty.

Police officers have coerced criminals to torture practitioners. They stripped practitioners, forced them to stand in the water room on winter nights, poured water on them, and attacked them in groups. Practitioner Liu Liwei was forced to remain standing from 6 a.m. to 9 or 10 p.m. Later, officers and criminals stripped Liu and left her to freeze in the courtyard on winter days. Criminal Tao Chunxue beat and kicked Liu Liwei, which left her body covered with injuries. Tao also did not allow her to sleep. Even some criminals said that Tao is too cruel.

Police officers coerced criminals Liu Lixin and Yu Xiuqin to brainwash practitioner Wang Sufang. They did not allow Wang to sleep and beat her in front of over a hundred criminals. When Wang went on a hunger strike for ten days, Liu and Yu continued to torture her.

Still, the torture and brainwashing could not change the practitioners' minds. Most of the practitioners clarified the truth to the criminals, and those who yielded under the pressure published "solemn declarations" to re-affirm their determination to practice Falun Dafa.

In the 8th prison area, there was a practitioner in her 50s. Criminals would beat her every morning and evening. Police officers twisted her arms behind her back while criminals beat her. But she kept on shouting with righteous thoughts, "Falun Dafa is good." Criminals and officers taped her mouth shut, but she struggled to remove the tape and kept on shouting. Not long after, she was released.
