Police in Inner Mongolia Bulldozed Dafa Disciple Ms. Liu Yazhi's Home and Crippled Her Because She Went to Beijing to Appeal

Ms. Liu Yazhi, a Dafa disciple from Kailu County of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, went to Beijing in September 2001 to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. She was unlawfully arrested and imprisoned. The local police station even went as far as to bulldoze her house, leaving Ms. Liu with no home to return to.

Ms. Liu Yazhi was then unlawfully imprisoned at the Inner Mongolia Public Security Prison. The police brutally tortured her following the lead of Zhou Jianhua, deputy head of the prison. In April 2003, Zhou Jianhua started to use forceful methods to "transform" Ms. Liu. The police transferred convicts from her section to other places in the prison, and then they locked her in a small room and broadcast loud, slanderous propaganda about Dafa. Ms. Liu would not listen and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." Five or six policemen then came in and held her hands and legs, while another crushed her from above. They used the quilts to cover her head to force her to turn against Dafa. Ms. Liu could not breathe, and her face became red and swollen. She could not open her eyes, and her hands became swollen, as well.

Ms. Liu suffered inhumane tortures like this continuously over a four-day period. This lasted until she lost feeling in her lower body. She could not move and lay in bed for more than two months. Because of this torture, she could not live by herself, and she needed someone to carry her and help her move around. Despite her condition, Zhou Jianhua still said she was faking and continued to torture Ms. Liu.

During these forceful transformation sessions, the police would not allow her to use the toilet or have contact with other people. Under the command of the police, convicts covered her with her quilts and ruthlessly beat her. Afterwards, Ms. Liu Yazhi was sent to the First Women's Prison in Inner Mongolia, where she suddenly fainted and fell to the ground twice because of brutal torture. As a result, her right leg was injured and she could not walk.

Ms. Lu Caiyun, an Inner Mongolian Dafa disciple from Aohanqi, was arrested by local police and taken to the police station. The police tried to force her to admit that Falun Gong was an illegal organization, but she would not cooperate. The police then handcuffed her to the radiator and forced her to stand in an awkward position for long periods of time. Ms. Liu Caiyun's legs went numb and swelled up, and she was only allowed to sit on the floor for a short period at night. She was tortured like this continuously for four days until she completely lost feeling in her left leg. She has still not recovered.
