(Clearwisdom.net) Clearwisdom correspondent Su Jing from Houston reports: Six years ago, former Chinese president Jiang Zemin once claimed he would, "eradicate Falun Gong in three months," and ordered all levels of government to "defame their reputation, bankrupt them financially and destroy them physically" when dealing with Falun Gong practitioners. Six years have passed, Falun Gong practitioners have been exposing the evil, clarifying the facts and resisting the persecution. Their great efforts have enabled more and more people to learn about the truth, and Falun Gong has been introduced in over 70 countries and regions throughout the world.

Beginning on July 20, 1999 when Jiang's regime launched an all-out, nationwide persecution campaign against Falun Gong practitioners, the 610 Office rounded up Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale, and the lies fabricated by state propaganda machines permeated everywhere. When numerous Falun Gong practitioners suffered various types of torture and abuses in prisons and forced labor camps in Mainland China, Falun Gong practitioners overseas persistently maintained their belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Fearless in the face of such huge tribulations, they began resisting the persecution in a peaceful and rational manner. During the past six years, Jiang and the communist regime have used a huge amount of manpower, material resources and wicked means to degenerate and corrupt people's hearts and turn them against Dafa. Many people have betrayed morality, justice and conscience for their immediate personal interests. Over the past six years, in Mainland China, a large number of Falun Gong practitioners have been making a huge effort, and they are tirelessly and quietly telling people the truth of Falun Gong on a daily basis. They have sent leaflets, Video CDs and brochures that bear the truth about Falun Gong, to hundreds of thousands of households.

In order to stop the persecution and to relieve the pressure on practitioners in Mainland China, Falun Gong practitioners in Houston have been using various means over the past six years to expose the evil and call for an end to the persecution.

In Houston, Falun Gong practitioners have made full use of the local newspaper, radio stations and TV stations to expose the persecution of Falun Gong and to introduce Falun Gong's wide spread around the world. On Saturday afternoons, some practitioners peacefully appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate, and other practitioners clarify the facts about Falun Gong in Chinatown. On Sundays, practitioners practice the exercises together in different parks in the city.

Practitioners have held anti-torture exhibits in front of City Hall, the Chinese Consulate and several universities. Some practitioners went to City Hall to clarify the truth, and some set up stalls or booths at various community activities. Practitioners also held a "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibit in the city center, and participated in a grand parade of groups of Chinese origin in Houston, displaying the beauty of Falun Dafa to numerous citizens. When Jiang came to Houston, several thousand Falun Gong practitioners traveled there and used their righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in other dimensions. Practitioners have also clarified the truth through the Internet, and by telephone and fax, successfully breaking through the malevolent party's information blockage, and creating many channels to disseminate the truth. This has struck fear into the hearts of the persecutors and brought joy to good people.

In a prison in China, when a police officer received a phone call from overseas Falun Gong practitioners, he was told that he should no longer persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The police officer heard the message and said, "How have you known about this [persecution]?" When the officer learned that Jiang Zemin has been sued in many countries, he did not say anything in reply. When a delegate to the National People's Congress heard from overseas Falun Gong practitioners on the phone that, "the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident is a fake, and Falun Gong is well-received abroad," the delegate was very surprised.

A Christian person visited the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibit held in Houston and said, "The art exhibit helps me learn about the Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China. They have made tremendous sacrifices for their freedom of belief. I admire Falun Gong practitioners' courage very much. In the U.S., I can enjoy freedom of belief. I support Falun Gong wholeheartedly. I hope that Falun Gong practitioners will ultimately obtain the right to their belief." Another visitor to the art exhibit said to a Falun Gong practitioner, with tears in her eyes, "The children of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners are living a homeless life. I'm very sad. I want to rescue those orphans using the money from my part-time job."

Once, when a member of a Chinese delegation visited Houston, he saw practitioners holding banners in the scorching sun every day and distributing materials to delegation members. He said excitedly, "Falun Gong, I hope you succeed!"

A local practitioner's husband, while accompanying her to learn the Falun Gong exercises and participating in some truth clarification activities, understood the meaning of Falun Gong's principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and witnessed that his wife's activities are peaceful and righteous. So he also started reading Zhuan Falun, and has become one of practitioners who clarifies the facts about Falun Gong.

Another Falun Gong practitioner said that her husband had an opportunity to attend a Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference. He saw the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi, and listened to him teaching the Fa, and his eyes brimmed over with warm, excited tears. He also listened to some practitioners' cultivation experiences. Through cultivation, Falun Gong practitioners gradually let go of their attachments and shortcomings. They think of others first in all aspects, and their xinxing improves greatly. This practitioner said that her husband felt that he benefited a lot from the experience-sharing meeting.

"What is Falun Gong?" "Falun Gong is good, but why is it being persecuted?" These are questions often asked by people who have not yet learned the truth. In response, practitioners explain to people about how Falun Gong's principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" enables people to be kind, to return to their true, original selves and how people's moral standards are upgraded by practicing Falun Gong. After hearing the practitioners' explanation, people would no longer question whether Falun Gong is good or not. But why does the CCP persecute Falun Gong? This question has puzzled many people. After the overseas media outlet, the Epoch Times published a series of editorials entitled, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which exposes the CCP's evil nature and the methods it has always used to persecute Chinese people, many people now see the true nature of the CCP. If people recognize that the CCP is an evil organization that has committed unpardonable crimes, it is easier for them to understand the reason why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong.

Over the past six years, through practitioners' persistent truth clarification efforts, many people have been awakening. The camp of persecutors has been constantly disintegrated. Perpetrators including Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, Zhou Yongkang, have been sued in many countries for committing crimes against humanity and genocide, as well as other crimes. They have fewer and fewer die-hard accomplices; instead, more people have stepped forward to expose the evil. More and more people have broken with the CCP and embraced brightness and freedom. Chen Yonglin is a good example. Mr. Chen, the former first secretary from the Chinese Consulate in Sydney, Australia, recently left his post and exposed the fact that the CCP has sent out many spies abroad to monitor Falun Gong practitioners' activities. More and more righteous people in the international community have stepped forward to condemn the persecution.

Today, on the anniversary of July 20, Houston practitioners continue to appeal to people's conscience and righteousness, to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
