Some Thoughts on Listening To Teacher's Recorded Lectures While Doing Other Things

(Clearwisdom.net) Currently, some practitioners listen to Teacher's recorded lectures on portable audio players. I'd like to share with everyone some of my thoughts about this issue from various perspectives.

Dafa is a holy universal law, and as Dafa practitioners, we should pay due respect to Teacher and the Fa in all circumstances. To be able to study the Fa without any interference and with a calm heart is a manifestation of one's cultivation level.

One practitioner close to me studies the Fa every day, as he has throughout the years, no matter how busy or tired he might be. Whenever he runs into problems, he will seek guidance from the Fa. He won't do anything that is not true to Dafa, while at the same time, he will try to do well everything that is required of a Dafa practitioner. He has walked a very solid path of Fa validation. However, there are also some practitioners around me who always try to listen to Teacher's lectures on portable audio players while cooking or doing other things at the same time. It may seem that these practitioners are making full use of their time in learning the Fa, when in reality they don't learn much from the Fa. I don't believe that these practitioners are treating Dafa with enough seriousness, because they have not calmed down enough to truly study the Fa.

Of course, the Fa has different requirements of people at different levels. For a person who just recently came to learn Dafa, I would say it is his blessing to be able to listen to Dafa. No matter how he tries to listen to the Fa, he will be given a chance to be saved as long as he learns about Dafa. Viewed from such a perspective, we can say that listening to Teacher's lectures on the portable audio player is playing a role in saving such a person. However, for a practitioner who wants to diligently advance in Dafa, or who is already taking part in the Fa rectification process, that practitioner should treat Dafa seriously. Only after we have truly learned the Fa can we do well the three things to validate Dafa.

Every one of us should be responsible to Dafa as well as to ourselves. We should take Fa-study seriously. Listening to the Fa on portable audio players, while doing other tasks, should not replace our regular Fa study.

I'd like to suggest to those practitioners who listen to Teacher's lectures while doing other things, please try to spend one or two hours every day studying the Fa with an unperturbed heart. Once you study the Fa in such a manner, I am sure you will be rewarded way beyond your expectations.
