(Clearwisdom.net) A Falun Gong seminar for teachers was held from July 23 to 24, 2005 at Jinying Hall, Huwei High School in Yunlin. The seminar received recommendations from seventeen school principals and attracted nearly 200 faculty members, staff members and local residents. The conference hall was full. During the seminar, several scholars and specialists who practice Falun Gong gave special topic speeches and shared their experiences of cultivation. Practitioners also demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises. The seminar was warmly received, and the nine-day lecture series will be conducted in Douliu City and Huwei Town, respectively.

This Falun Gong seminar was sponsored by the Yunlin County government, and co-sponsored by the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association, National Kouhu Middle School, National Guilin Elementary School, Huwei High School and five other national middle and elementary schools. Taking the main theme, "Purification and joyfulness of life begins here," more than 20 principals from Yunlin County's elementary schools, middle schools and high schools voluntarily took part in the event. Currently, a number of elementary and middle school principals who are outstanding educators and have great wisdom and judgment practice Falun Gong. Many principals expressed that they received purification both mentally and physically through the practice. What is even more remarkable is that the seminar was sponsored by the local government and the Falun Dafa Association. It attracted numerous people to learn Falun Gong.

Paintings from the collection of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" art exhibition, and posters showing the awards Falun Gong has received were displayed on both sides of the conference hall. Artists who practice Falun Gong used their exquisite skills to depict the beautiful realm of cultivating Falun Dafa and practitioners' uncompromising courage while confronting the Chinese communist regime's cruel persecution. These paintings attracted attendees' attention. People could not believe that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is so inhuman. They were also very curious about the more than 1000 awards Falun Gong has received from countries all over the world.

Mr. Yeh, a journalist from the Central News Agency, reported the seminar in advance to allow more people be aware of the event. In addition, he also registered to attend the two-day seminar. Feeling the beauty of Falun Dafa and practitioners' kindheartedness, he bought a copy of Zhuan Falun and said that he would take it back for his wife to read. He also registered to attend the next 9-day lecture series and Falun Gong workshop in Douliu City.

The seminar on the first day attracted many people. Even children came with their parents to attend. Some people who participated in previous seminars or 9-day lecture series also came to attend the event.

On the second day, four professors gave special topic speeches and attracted even more people. Some came with their wives or husbands, some came with their children, brothers or sisters. Some felt that it was very good on the first day and invited more relatives to join the second day of activities.

A practitioner in her 70s encountered a student from Huwei University of Technology while she was buying noodles at a vendor's stand on the street. She talked about Falun Gong with the student, and the student was so interested that he came with the practitioner to the seminar. After listening to the speech given by Ms. Chen Yanling, a researcher from the Children's Neurology Department of Taiwan University, he felt that the seminar was really good.

Several scholars and specialists who practice Falun Gong were invited to give special topic speeches. They were: Professor Liu Cheng-yi from National Chuning Hsing University, whose speech was entitled, "New Thought About Life - Dialogue Between Traditional Medicine and Cultivation Practice"; Professor Ai Chang-rui from National Chung Cheng University, whose speech was entitled, "New Theory on Life Administration Science"; Physician Au Guan-man from Chen Hsing Medical Center, whose speech was entitled, "Ways of Improving the Mind and Body"; Chen Yanling, researcher from the Children's Neurology Department of National Taiwan University, whose speech was entitled, "Conformity of Mind and Body and Exploring Life"; Ming Chu-cheng, professor from National Taiwan University, whose speech was entitled, "The Falun Gong That I Know"; and Professor Hou Nian-Tsu from Mid-Taiwan Health Management Institute, whose speech was entitled, "Journey of a Sociologist's Cultivation Practice".

According to sponsors, almost all of the books, including Zhuan Falun and exercise instruction videotapes, were sold out. Some people came with their children and grandchildren to attend the seminar. Falun Gong is really good for both young and aged people. It seems that a momentum to practice Falun Gong has come to Yunlin County.
