I am over 40 years old, and I am a farmer living in Yongji County, Jilin Province. Last year I suddenly got sick, suffering from bloating, a stuffy chest, and lots of pain that was very hard to endure. My four limbs were weak, and I had no appetite. My wife accompanied me to the county hospital for a check-up and I was diagnosed with liver cancer. The doctors said that I must immediately undergo treatment. The sudden and unexpected diagnosis was very hard for my family and me to endure. On seeing my pain, my wife could only cry. Where could we borrow the money for the expensive hospital treatment? Without hospitalization, I could only wait for death to come.
At that time my wife and I felt hopeless. Then our sister-in-law, (a Falun Gong practitioner), came to see me. During our conversation, she mentioned the stories about Falun Gong's miraculous effects on healing illnesses and maintaining fitness, and encouraged me to practice Falun Gong. Both my wife and I took her advice and decided to study Falun Gong. On that day, my wife and I started on the path of cultivation.
At the beginning, when doing the sitting meditation, I would sit in double lotus position for 2 hours. My legs would be in such pain that I almost wanted to throw up, and my clothes would be soaked with sweat and tears. But during the sitting meditation I saw that Teacher was purifying my body. Numerous bulky, stone-like things were expelled from my body, layer by layer. After each layer was purified, my whole body felt extremely comfortable and light. In the end, there was just a little pain lingering there. I ask Teacher to eliminate all of it for me. Teacher said seriously that it couldn't be eliminated completely for me. After that, Teacher left.
Later, some veteran practitioners told me: "Teacher already removed the root cause of your illness and left only a little bit of black qi for you to eliminate on your own." Had Teacher not suffered for us, for the illnesses that do not have cures like the one I had, we would have to use our lives to pay back our karma. After I improved my understanding of Dafa's principles, I realized that I cannot only ask for comfort, I should take action to validate Dafa. I felt that I should validate the facts of Teacher saving sentient beings with my own amazing story, awaken those sentient beings lost in the maze, and let them know the beauty of Dafa.
No matter how much farm work we have to do, my wife and I do not skip our time to practice the exercises. After several months, my body went through huge changes. Now my liver no longer hurts, I have a good appetite, and I am able to do some farm and house work. My complexion is healthy and my body is light. In fact I am healthier than normal people.
I deeply appreciate Dafa and Teacher for saving my life, also that he gave me a healthy body, and at the same time saved my entire family. If I did not practice Falun Gong, I would have died by now. I take this opportunity to again express my gratitude to Teacher.
A person should not live just for himself; he should share with others when obtaining benefits. After discussing with my wife, we opened an exercise site in my home. About 6 or 7 villagers came to learn the practice and experience Dafa's magic. Every night when we practice the exercises, a lot more people will come to watch. We do the exercises in our yard. Afterward, we study the Fa together. None of us are afraid. My wife said if anyone disturbs us, we will all go to Beijing's Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa.
Although we obtained Dafa just a few months ago, every one of us has improved quickly in our mindset, xinxing and bodies. This is greatly due to help from veteran practitioners.
The most important thing is to study the Fa a lot. It is Dafa that gave me a new life. In my future cultivation, I will follow Teacher's guidance, and become a qualified Falun Dafa disciple.
The above is my cultivation story. I wrote it down to let more people know the beauty of Falun Dafa and its miraculous effect of healing and fitness, so that more sentient beings deceived by lies can wake up and be saved by our Teacher's benevolence. Due to my limited understanding, fellow practitioners and friends, please point out and correct my mistakes.
