By a Dafa practitioner from Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) After July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa began, my factory director and officers from the local police station came looking for me many times, trying to force me to sign statements promising not to practice Falun Gong. At the time I thought, so what if I write one? If I wanted to practice I would still practice. As a result of not thinking based on the Fa, and under great pressures from work and home, I gradually started to not treat myself as a Dafa practitioner.

In July 2002, when I went to the hospital for a checkup, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Afterwards, I sought various methods of treatment. In January 2004, I underwent surgery, and they removed my left breast. After the surgery, the wound refused to heal. After a month, I had a skin graft where the doctors took skin from my left thigh. After two months, the grafted skin lived, and they went on to do chemotherapy. It's very painful to go through chemotherapy! After the chemotherapy, my body seemed to get weaker and weaker each day. One time when I was in the restroom, I nearly collapsed, and if it wasn't for a fellow patient's saving me, my life could have been long gone! The following month, I began radiotherapy. After two months, the good skin from the graft even died! Many spots in my left armpit festered and oozed pus. The doctor said it was radiodermatitis. In the following months, every day of the therapy was horrendous. I was in deep sorrow.

In my deep pain and suffering, a warm-hearted auntie came to my bed and said to me, "Girl, my health before was also bad. I had a body full of illness. But look at me now. Not only do I never get sick, but I also look after other patients. I have much energy and much strength!" At the time I was very excited, and said, "Auntie, you don't have to say any more. I already know. We must be disciples of the same Fa. But in this condition, how do I practice?" She compassionately said to me, "Its not too late, it's never too late to cultivate!" The next day, she brought me a copy of Zhuan Falun.

I read the book on my sickbed. On the fourth day, I deeply realized that I could not continue to stay in the hospital. I told the doctors and my family members that I needed to go home, and that I would no longer live in the hospital. The doctor said that my condition was not at all suitable to leave the hospital, and my family members were strongly against my decision. But I set my heart firmly on leaving the hospital. After living in the hospital for over 7 months, even after receiving all kinds of modern medical treatments, my illness still got worse each day. Under orders from the doctor, I took some medicine and went home.

When I got home, I could use more time to read and study the Fa, and I could also do the exercises. There were, however, many tribulations. I would sometimes faint, or not be able to fall asleep, or I would have a fever or other problems. Upon the request of my family, I took the medicine. However, it was odd in that when I took medicine, I had pain. But when I did not take the medicine, there was no pain. Obviously, this was Teacher pointing something out to me. I told this to my family members, but they did not believe me. Sometimes the pain would be so bad that it was hard to tolerate. Practitioners around me all sent forth righteous thoughts to help me.

After a period of time, when I went to the hospital to visit the doctors that administered the therapy, they were all shocked and surprised! They could hardly believe the miracle that happened to my body! And then I told them, "This is the beauty of Falun Dafa!"

Today, I still study the "Fa" every day, and I share experiences with other practitioners. Even more, I use my own experiences to clarify the truth to those around me, helping many people see Dafa's magnificence and beauty.

When I think of the side path that I took, I feel very ashamed. I have to work harder to study the Fa more, walk every step correctly, and be a genuine Fa-rectification Dafa disciple.
