Germany: Four Years of Peaceful Appeal at the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) It is now four years since Falun Gong practitioners held their first appeal outside the Chinese Consulate in Hamburg. On June 23, 2001, practitioners gathered at the consulate with the aim of letting people know about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution that is being waged against practitioners in China. At that time, the official death toll was 234 practitioners. Four years later, the consulate appeal is still there for the same reason but the number of innocent practitioners whose deaths have been documented is 2,629, while the true figure is thought to be more like seven thousand.

In addition to appealing to the consulate staff to support an end to the human rights abuses against Falun Gong in China and to stop carrying out the Chinese Communist Party's wicked persecution against Falun Gong, practitioners outside the Hamburg Consulate have also had many chances to talk with people about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses in China. These people have included politicians, media and many police officers. Some people who had seen the consulate appeal later went to their local Falun Gong practice site, where they can learn the exercises for free.
