Do Not Forget Those Fellow Practitioners Who Have Not Yet Passed Illness Tribulations

(Clearwisdom.net) A fellow practitioner recently told me, "I don't need to take medicine now and I study the Fa everyday. It is Master who saved me. Master has been helping me, giving me hints so that I could overcome the tribulation. I am grateful for Master's kind salvation."

This is her story. Before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, this practitioner was doing very well and she attended Master's lectures in person. After July 20, she suddenly had a stroke. Initially, she didn't go to the hospital, but it didn't get better. (She was worried about it and thought it was an illness.) She eventually went to a hospital. For several years she continuously took medicine, had injections, and stayed in the hospital. Up until 2003, she could hardly walk. Another practitioner told me that she hoped I could go to her place to take care of her. At that time, I was forced to be homeless to avoid further persecution, and I had no job or income. I thought it might be Master's arrangement for me to help her.

Therefore, I went to her place and we studied the Fa every day. In the beginning, I read three chapters to her each day, and she said that was too much. It could have been that I was in too much of a hurry. Then I switched to reading two chapters. I also read Master's lectures and Minghui/Clearwisdom website articles, and we sent forth righteous thoughts together. Three days later, her situation showed some improvement, and she was able to go to the bathroom by herself. Her husband said, "This really works!" At that time, some other practitioners often went to her home as well, but they didn't help her with the Fa. Rather, they just talked about some current events in society and passed on some rumors. Hence, the negative influence became quite serious. She came to no longer believe in the Minghui website and no longer let me read articles to her from the website. When I sent forth righteous thoughts, she said, "It's only you that sends forth righteous thoughts every day. Who else is doing that? It's useless." Actually it was the karma and the bad stuff that interfered with her and said those words. It was definitely not herself.

Later, when she could take care of herself, I left her home. She asked me to bring her Master's new lectures whenever they became available, so I delivered the lectures when I got them. However, she didn't study the Fa much and became unable to walk again. She was experiencing leg thrombosis and she was once again hospitalized. Again, she didn't realize what the issue was.

One day, practitioner A said to me, "You don't need to go to her home or deliver the lectures to her." I asked what happened. Practitioner A said, "Yesterday a practitioner gave her some lectures, but she didn't want them. The two even argued with each other and in the end she kicked the practitioner out." The next day, I went to her home and gave her a new article of Master's, and I read it to her. She expressed her thanks when I left her home. When I came back, I told practitioner A that she was fine, that it was because she hadn't studied the Fa for quite a while that she had some interference. I suggested that we should continue to give her some help. One time I asked another practitioner to deliver a lecture to her. When that practitioner returned, she expressed that she wouldn't want to go there again, and complained that the ill practitioner wasn't in a good state.

During the Chinese New Year period, my state wasn't very good either, and I didn't give her the two articles "We Are Not 'Getting Political'" and "New Year's Greeting." When a newer article came out, I went to give her the three articles together. As soon as I arrived at her home, I saw that she was lying on the bed, unable to move. I asked her what happened, and she said, "My back is dislocated. You haven't been here for such a long time. After the Chinese New Year, a practitioner who had the celestial eye open came and looked at me, and said my lower back area was darkened and that all the karma was around my lower back. Afterwards, I was unable to get up." After hearing her words, I felt very grieved. How could that so-called practitioner with the celestial eye open so casually take a look at the other person? That was really harmful! Moreover, we ought to cultivate our speech. Perhaps what someone says offhand will materialize. Wouldn't that person be accumulating karma, then?

Master said,

"Of late, some assistance centers have asked those whose Third Eye (tianmu) are said to be open to examine students' cultivation. Everything those people have seen is in fact false and illusory. I said long ago that the criterion for evaluating a disciple is nothing but his xinxing, and I will never allow anyone who hasn't attained Enlightenment or reached Consummation to see clearly my disciples' actual cultivation states." ("Another Comment on Evaluation Criteria" from Essentials for Further Advancement)

I said to her that I, too, had been unable to move my lower back during the New Year period, and that after I sent forth righteous thoughts and studied the Fa, it recovered in a couple of days, except for a little leg pain. She replied that in my case, it wasn't sickness. She still thought that hers was sickness.

Coincidentally, I ran into practitioner B. We talked about that practitioner's situation. Practitioner B said that this practitioner always took medicine, had injections, and didn't understand the issue. I said that in the past, the two of you were always together, and if she couldn't see the issue clearly, then all of us should help her. Practitioner B went to her place, and they talked a lot, with good results. I asked practitioner A to visit her too, but she didn't want to go. Later, practitioner A did go to see her, and they also had a good discussion.

Another fellow practitioner delivered to her the lecture "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference." She suggested that I bring her the article about how to send forth righteous thoughts and the Minghui Weekly. When I visited her, I was happy to hear her say, "Now I study the Fa every day. I don't watch television. Everything is good, and I have improved. Master has been helping me."

I am writing this to share with everyone. As long as it does not interfere with our overall truth-clarification efforts, we should not forget about our fellow practitioners who haven't stepped forward to validate the Fa, who deviated in their understanding of the Fa and cultivation, and who cannot pass through the illness tribulation. We should give them help because the opportunities for them will become less and less.

Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference,"

"With human beings... when a being can obtain the Fa today in history, it's no ordinary thing--he's so fortunate! But as soon as he loses the Fa, do you know what he faces? It's really horrific, because when he fails to fulfill the major responsibilities and the huge missions that were bestowed upon him, then, accordingly, that's like the inverse of a being's Consummation, and he will truly have to enter the gate of no-life. You folks can't just go and abandon a person without trying hard enough. No matter what kind of mistakes someone has made, or what kind of a person he is, I still want to give him a chance. Of course, in human society there are, after all, a number of people who aren't good enough anymore, so just let them be. Today I'm mainly saying that our Dafa disciples need to do better, and we should cherish those who have obtained the Fa."

When we study the Fa and share our experiences together, perhaps one person's sharing will trigger another's inspiration, wake them up, help them to catch up with the Fa-rectification process, and not fall short of their prehistoric, great vows.
